About this ebook

We perceive and interact with the outside world, but only in the context of how our minds and intellects interpret it. Only through our minds can the outer world reach us and cause us to smile in happiness or cry in sadness. Our emotions, interpersonal interactions, and decision-making are all impacted by our mental health, which affects how we think, feel, and act. Stress management, resilience building, and overcoming obstacles in life are all facilitated by good mental health.

The world is, as our mind is. Therefore, mental development and control are of utmost importance.

Finding a mind that is unaffected by its interaction with fluctuation is truly unusual. like heat, which cannot exist without fire. But most people let their minds wander and follow their own sweet wills and desires. It wanders and is erratic like a poorly trained animal or a spoiled child who receives excessive indulgence from their parents.

But there is nothing to feel any guilt sort of thing because it is normal. It is the very nature of the mind; everyone is facing the mind like that only. But, yes, it is not good a thing to be led by it compulsively. It unnecessarily creates lot of mental stress and mental health problems. It doesn't necessarily have to be like that only. We can make conscious efforts to understand the mind, establish some control over it, and bring some order into it for a better life. And the good thing is, it is possible, the nature of the mind can be changed.

It's crucial to understand that mindsets have a crucial role in behavior and health, rather than being merely incidental. Real happiness is not found in positions of power or material wealth. Happiness is the result of a pure, peaceful, and controlled mind. It is the mind which is the source of both our pleasure and misery.

Although these are common occurrences for us, we don't classify them as significant. We frequently overlook the reality that our thoughts, mindsets, and aspirations are influencing our lives.

Every human action can be explained in terms of the 'mind' that causes it. Every action that results from the mind, has at least two components—the physical and the mental. We have to strive to keep a balance between the two to act effectively. When the mind and body cooperate without overwhelming one another, it becomes "spiritual" in the process.

The nature of the human mind is a bit challenging to comprehend because it is hidden and nuanced. But if you make an effort to know about the mind and how to manipulate it, you can shape it in whatever way you like. Even science validates the possibility of rewiring the brain. It is plastic and incredibly malleable.

Understandably, every study ought to contain both a theoretical and a practical component. The intellect tries to settle for the theory alone, but the actual perception of the truth that the theory contains is bigger and more magnificent. Success comes from applying the sermons, not just hearing them.

This book covers the psychological, philosophical, and Spiritual aspects of Mind management. This is a guidebook containing techniques and practical exercises. Working on these guidelines, you will learn how to have mind control for a growth mindset, and peace of mind, control negative thoughts, and master your emotions. It is basically all about mental health and improving the state of mind. This book contains the Universal Secrets that govern every area of life.

Remember, one who conquers the mind conquers the world. So, let's make the best use of the opportunity here to understand various aspects of the mind, its mind, the need, and the way to harness it.

    Preface

We will find, as if, we are going where our minds are taking us. As if, our mind is the master, handling our life and we are like slaves to it. Isn’t it like that?

The mind in the vast majority of persons has been allowed to run wild and follow its own sweet will and desire. It is ever-changing and wandering. It jumps from one object to another. It is fickle. It wants variety. Monotony brings disgust. It is like a spoiled child who is given too much indulgence by his parents or a badly trained animal. The minds of many of us are like menageries of wild animals, each pursuing the bent of its own nature and going its own way. Restraint of the mind is a thing unknown to the vast majority of persons.

But there is nothing to feel any guilt sort of thing because it is normal. It is the very nature of the mind; everyone is facing the mind like that only. But, yes, it is not good a thing, to be led by it, compulsively. And unless we do something about it, we will get blown away.

That is why, it is important to make conscious efforts to understand more about the mind, establish some control over it, and bring some order into it for a better life. And the good thing is, it is possible, the nature of the mind can be changed.

It is important because mind management encompasses all types of management, in today's terms; time management, stress management, ambiguities management, etc. Because if you can handle your mind, you can handle everything.

Just imagine a scenario where you are in complete control of your mind. You instruct the mind and the mind faithfully obeys you. How pleasurable life will become! And it is possible, to take back the charge and shift from slave mode to master mode. And, what if we find that the mind is a very powerful force, and by exercising control over it, we gain immense power in our life?

It is said that one who conquers the mind conquers the world. A man who has mastered the art of controlling the mind lives like a king. But a man who fails to free himself from the clutches of mind always lives like a slave of his unchaste mind.

We find yogis and ascetics going to the forest and meditating for several years to gain control over their minds. Because they know that real happiness does not come from worldly positions and possessions. But it completely depends on our ability to remain calm and control our agitated minds.

A multi-millionaire in his skyrise building may be completely miserable if his mind is agitated. He may be gulping down sleeping pills to get a few hours of sleep. This is why we see many materially successful people become so frustrated with their life that they even commit suicide. But a man living in a humble house with little possession will be celebrating his life, if he has succeeded in subduing his mind.

To have a good experience of life, we should be handling the mind. But, as long as we remain under the control of our minds, peace will elude us and anxiety will overwhelm us.

The mind has a continuous flow of thoughts that we are not even conscious of. Many of us are not even realizing that thinking is happening. Thoughts are continuously flowing. It is said that around 60000 -80000 thoughts cross our minds in a day. And we are unable to even stop it, even though many of them are unproductive and negative. We will be even found overthinking, circular thinking. It’s worrying.

It's not enough to just organize knowledge and organize institutions. It is more important to organize our minds because everything begins from there. An unorganized mind after some time leads to boredom and frustration. You may not like your mind; you may not like your life then. But where else to go? Throughout our life, it's with our minds that we have to live. Isn't it?

S0, this is a real problem. The overcluttered mind, especially cluttered with negative thoughts, is very destructive. It's the most terrible weapon on Earth.

Now, the ability to do anything comes from knowledge. The more we know, the more freedom we have to manoeuvre and transverse in any direction. And there is not a lot but only a little to know. It is about the mind. This is Self-knowledge and is the science of Sciences. This book humbly attempts to provide you with that knowledge in a holistic way.

Remember, you can make heaven out of Hell and hell out of heaven with your mind. Nothing else is required; the actual heaven and hell are not required. Your mind can do it. Thus, leaving the mind as an untapped resource, or as an untamed, unconscious force, is not a safe option.

Mind management is indeed the most essential subject, for a happy, enriching, and controlled life. We can, should, and must change our world for good, and for this, must take seriously the mind which is the source of all experience of the world.

    Introduction

We see so many young people suffering from frustration, depression, and negativities. It's just unacceptable to us. They are unable to manage their lives, which is not possible without managing their minds first. It is a very important topic for the modern age.

Wherever there are human beings and human problems, there the psychology becomes very important, because it's to do with the human mind. But, where psychology ends, philosophy begins. And where philosophy ends, spirituality begins. That is the equation.

While psychology takes a look at how human beings function, what are their motivations, what determines their likes and dislikes, etc., philosophy asks larger questions about the nature of existence – what is the point of living a life if it can be said to have one? What is the nature of knowledge? How do we know that the nature of our experiences is real and not false?

It is thus very important to also take the philosophical perspective. After that, it will ultimately combinate in a real deep search for reality through spirituality- what we can call an existential analysis of our own real nature. These are the normal steps the thinking human mind takes. We need to have a holistic understanding.

So, we will be moving sequentially, starting with the psychological aspects of mind management, followed by philosophical and Spiritual aspects, respectively. It will be a Paradigm-Shifting Journey into Philosophy, Psychology, and Spirituality, leading to True Liberation and awakening of the mind.

The deeper Spiritual part of the knowledge on mind management, which we will be knowing here, is drawn from scriptures: Patanjali yoga sutras -second century BC, Vedas which are more than 5000 years old. Interestingly, this knowledge existed even then and was considered necessary for the evolution of our intellect.

This book has a lot of knowledge packed into it. Understandably, having limited cognitive capacity, we may not be able to grasp the whole thing right away, and some of the ideas may go over our heads. For that, I would suggest, please be patient and prepared for a bit of stretching of the mind.

This book contains Universal Secrets of mind, that govern every area of life. Knowing all these things will enable you to see the world in code, like the matrix. The aim is to achieve higher awareness in living and experiencing life and to revolutionize the way we understand the mind.

This is a guide book containing Techniques and practical exercises, working which you will learn how to Declutter your mind, control negative thoughts and master your emotions. You will experience a profound change in your life, reality, and awareness.

    What is the Mind?

Everywhere we are being educated to live harmoniously with the life in the community. In this, there are naturally two factors... the world and we. The happenings around us are not at present under our control, but in case we can reorganize ourselves, within ourselves, by ourselves, we may most probably gain a glorious and healthy harmony with the world in which we happen to live now.

The world outside is recognized and experienced by us, but only as interpreted by our own mind and intellect. The world outside can make us smile in joy or make us weep in sorrow, but only by reaching us through our minds. As is the mind, so is the world. According to the constitution of our mind, is our experience of the world. Therefore, mental control, and mental development- as modern educationist says, is most important.

The mind needs to be disciplined, but the question comes, how to discipline the mind. And before that, we must, first of all, know, what is the mind.

Our entire life is dependent upon our minds. But, how very few of us know it. It is not taught at home, in schools, or colleges. When we ask this question, What is the mind, we may find the common answer, "mind is thought". Yes, the mind is thought, but this is not a definition.

Whenever there are thoughts, there is the mind. Whenever there is no thought, there is no mind. In deep sleep, there are no thoughts and therefore, there is no mind. Without exception, thoughts and the mind are very much interrelated. When the thoughts are calm, the mind is calm. If the thoughts are agitated, the mind is agitated. If the thoughts are hopeful, the mind is hopeful. The mind is exactly as the thoughts in it.

Between the thought and the mind, there is a relationship. Thought alone, however, is not the mind. They have a relationship just like water and river. Water by itself is not a river. A pool of water is not a river. It is when waters are flowing continuously then we have a river. A river is water flowing. When thoughts flow through us, there is the experience of this powerful piece of equipment, the mind.

Now when the waters of the river are muddy, the river is called muddy. If the waters are clean, the river is clean. If the waters are fast, the river is fast. As the waters, so the river. As the thoughts, so the mind.

If the thoughts are good, the mind is good. If the thoughts are bad, the mind is bad. Therefore,
