\section{Course Objective}
\subparagraph{}
To know the principles of sampling \& quantization, study the various waveform
coding schemes, learn the various baseband transmission schemes, understand
the various Band pass signaling schemes, know the fundamentals of channel
coding

%\subparagraph{}
%From the unit 3 to unit 5 - Microwave Engineering describes the various
microwave components including: oscillators - [ solid state device generator
(Gunn, IMPATT ), vacuum tube devices (Klystron, TWT)], guided wave device
(Tees, Circulator and Isolator), microstrip line and experimental characterization
of above components using the network analyzer, power meter, VSWR meter. In
this course, the theoretical and practical concept of microwave engineering is
useful applications to the analysis and design of microwave components,
microwave circuits and use to reduce the impact of microwave signal affect.

\section{Specific Instructions to the students}

\subparagraph{}
Attendance to the class is very important. Uninterrupted presence in the class
will help the student to latch on with the flow of the course and will help the
student to understand the lecture. Students are encouraged to freely clarify their
doubts in the class.The faculty is available in the department during the college
hours and the student may meet for any discussion.
\subparagraph{}

The student is strongly advised to take the tests conducted in the class very
seriously. This will not only ensure catching up with the subject closely as it
progresses but will also help the student to secure good marks in the internal
assessment.
