In this experiment, we managed to finish it successfully.

The objectives of this

experiment is to study the RLC series and parallel for under-damped criticallydamped and over-damped conditions by varying resistive value.
There two kind of circuit we are construct in this experiment which are
parallel RLC circuit and series RLC circuit. For parallel RLC circuit we applied %V for
Vpp and 50Hz to 500KHz fir frequency on function generator. We maintained the
values of the capacitor and inductor by 1nF and 2mH respectively. For the first
circuit we used 150Ohm resistor. After that we repeat the experiment by using
250Ohm and 300 Ohm for resistance .
For the RLC parallel circuit the value of resonance frequency that supposed to
get is 11253Hz but the of resonance that we obtained from three parallel RLC circuit
is 10KHz . It is almost equal. All RLC parallel circuit are in the over damped
condition.
For the RLC series circuit we have applied 5v for Vpp and 50Hz to 500 KHz
frequency on the function generator. We have maintained the values of the
capacitor and inductor by 1nF and 3mH respectively. For the first circuit we have
used 100Ohm resistance and followed by 250Ohm and 500Ohm . The value of
resistance frequency that we supposed to get in this experiment is 91888.14Hz .
But the values that we get from this 3 circuit is 100K it is almost equal.
We found that there a few of source error in this experiment which is the
failure of the wire to function well and the value of function generator which is not
stable. It is make difficult for us to get exact value of it. The precaution steps we
can apply in this experiment is to make sure the wire that we use function well by
constructing simple circuit in order to check it.sh besides that, we need to maek
sure the reading is exact values. All the RLC series circuit are in underdamped
condtion.
In conclusion , the experiment was done successfully and have achieved the
objectives. The values of resonance frequency that we measured from both type of
circuit is almost equal with the value of resonance frequency that we have
calculated.
