The first session of the AIS Clubs will start from October 4, 2015. Coached by
professional staff, these clubs develop students creativity, technical ability, and
performance skills.

General Information
Rationale
Through participation in AIS after-school activities, students will develop new skills
while working collaboratively with their peers in developmentally age-appropriate
activities not offered at home or within the context of the regular teaching and
learning program.
Mission Statement
AIS Kuwait inspires students to become critical thinkers and contributing world
citizens through rigor and balance in a nurtering educational environment.
How to Register
* Registration is on a first come - first served basis and places are strictly limited.
* To register, simply complete the registration form on the last page of this document
and bring it into the Activities Office, located beside the business office.
* Do not fax or e-mail your application.
* Applications will only be processed if accompanied by payment.
Confirmation and Payment
* Payment can be made in the activities office.
* Payment is non-refundable. No credit will be issued for lessons missed.
* No confirmation will be sent to you. The office will only contact parents if there is a
problem with your application.
Cancellation
If an AIS activity is cancelled due to teacher illness or school closure (except where
closure is due to inclement weather) parents will receive an SMS informing them and
the class will be rescheduled. No refund or credit will be issued for students absent
from an AIS after school activity for whatever reason.
Dismissal
All club participants will be escorted to the front lobby for dismissal. Pickup must be
arranged promptly at the designated time. No supervision is provided by teachers after
drop off in the front lobby. Students will wait with security in the front lobby if their
ride has not arrived.

Description:
Learn how to play the Irish version of rugby football known as Gaelic

football. The sport incorporates soccer, basketball, and volleyball as you pass the

GUITAR CLUB
(Tutor Saleh Afshar)
Students will need to bring an acoustic/classical or an electrical guitar.
This course is for the beginner guitarist, and no previous guitar playing experience
is necessary. In this class, students learn all aspects of proper technique for playing
guitar, including posture, finger-style and plectrum techniques, and also correct left
and right hand position and usage. Students learn to play many different chords,
which are used to play accompaniments to a variety of songs in different styles.
These songs reinforce the skills that are taught in the club. The most important role
for the student is to practice what we do in class at least 30 MINUTES A DAY or the
more. This insures success for all students.

Join Club Lacrosse! Lacrosse is a game that looks a lot like field

this club we will have a lot of fun playing games, while learning about teamwork,

Jane Goodalls Roots & Shoots is the Jane Goodall Institutes (JGI)

global youth-led community action program, comprised of thousands of young


people inspired by Dr. Jane Goodall to make the world a better place. The program
builds on the legacy and vision of Dr. Jane Goodall to place the power and

responsibility for creating practical solutions to big challenges in the hands of the
young people. Roots and Shoots is an ideal opportunity for students interested in
global issues to organize service projects, take on leadership roles within the
community, receive CAS hours and have fun (plus it looks pretty great on a college
application).

Kids yoga is all about having fun! IN any given kids yoga class we

their imaginations, a sense of fun, some comfortable clothes they can play in and a
water bottle just in case!
