~ The Torus ~

The shape and form of a mushroom,
and the dynamics of a spider's web.
The spiraling pattern of hair growth,
that sprouts atop the human head.
The exquisite beauty of a strawberry...
All these things and so much more,
like a flash, overtook my mindfor the heart of God was in all things,
and all things were divine!
An invisible field of power,
that spirals out in constant flow,
betwixt two poles of energy,
~ one above and one below ~
For I saw the shape of Naturethe shape and form of life itself.
Twas a far cry from the guiles of man,
for what I saw and heard and felt,
was nothing less than Cosmic-born,
cradled fire; salubrious health!
When I surmise the world around me,
or examine even the tiniest pest,
I shudder at all my glorious findings,
and concede in kindness to spare the rest.

For in the gossamer futility,
of every fleeting, invariable breath,
I see the magic and the wonder,
of hallow'd Nature, at its best!
In every living thing that creepith,
across this awesome, amiable globe,
and in every verdant plant and flower,
that without a mind and brain still knows,
to reach for water in stalwart instinct,
and toward the sun ensues to climb,
there is a spark of ethereal wonderand a glimpse of supernal rhyme.
For that which withers and falters,
and that which shines and thrives,
are all but the same when torn asunder,
or cleaved down the middle and spied.
I've dissected a thousand specimens,
and seen all that's accomplished within,
and its perfection e'er unnerves me,
when I observe how others treat their kin.
For the deepest wells of mystery,
are found within the natural world.
And the fervent fires of revelation,
in the eyes of every curious boy and girl.

And beneath the craggy bark of one unassuming, elder tree,
lies a micro-universe of Cosmic order and divine complexity.
So I'm humbled when e'er upon this thought,
I'm compelled to mark well and reflectthat not all that we see, is ours to do as we please,
and all things living are deserving of love and respect.
For all we need do is look a scant closer,
and take the time to assiduously inspect,
and learn that which is key to wondrous Nature:
that all things living, co-dependently connect.
For all things are bound thus- to one another and to us,
and all things have their place and oft require our aid,
at precarious times, to protect, rescue and save.
All life is precious, it matters not at what scale,
from the tiniest red ant, to the largest blue whale.
All are brother and sister and uncle,
all are cousin and aunt and friend.
Not yours to subdue and obliterate,
or in thoughtless actions cruelly rend.
And as for God, for the sake of elucidation,
I'll add this relevant, requisite bit,
and share my insight with those if any,
who are ably apt to hear it.

Closer than you'd assume and e'er abiding,
comforting and corporeal, relevant and confiding.
Though you may not know Him, He is all around you,
not in abstract realms of phantasm, beyond unconquerable death,
but near to you and dear to you and tangibly perceptible,
Yea, even as your very own heartbeat and breath!
So approach with confidence and you will discover,
an immutable Power and a Cosmos dually govern'd,
without fear of judgment, or false threat of hell,
for it is within you, that He in reality dwells!
E'er the forests and flowers all speak of thee,
for God is the very Universe that you see,
and His voice and body are the form of all things,
that you look at throughout the mundane, malaise,
of your dreary, monotonous, routine day-to-day.
Yet His arms are open and He's within your reach,
His power is everywhere and available to teach,
for they are your own- your birthright to receive.
But you must undeniably, see what I seea world unpolluted, by hate and disease.
A future untainted, by war and crime,
limitless potential, unspoiled by time.
Even calling Him "He" must be redefined,
for there are many genders, within the Divine.

We must undo these archaic illusionsthese remnants of an ignorant, ill-informed past.
Relics from a time, when man had no scientific miin
n d,
and we believed any and all of the fables we were told.
But that time is now gone and we must surely move on,
to find selcouth light in our own unique and personaall way.
Think not from on high, expedient help shall e'er come,
for it is ours to learn who we are and what must be done.
And no debase "holy" book, can reveal it more speedily,
nor greed-fueleed
d preacher, make us see it more clearly,
than a walk thhrrough a forest, or cool dip in a stream,
amid the crimson-gold glories, of autumnal leaves.
Religions and prophets, have all missed the marklife is so much more, than what is commonly thought.
For God is within you and you are entwined,
for ever and always, to a Universe divine,
inextricably linked, throughout all of time.
And this sublime gift, is yours as well as my own.
Observe truth in reality and find your way home.
Fulfill your bright destiny, for it is yours till the last.
Renew your vows my fellow traveler...
and walk the Elysian path!
