HUAWEI U7315s is a low and middle end dual-mode Mobile phone developed by
HUAWEI. It is based on the QUALCOMM 6245 chipset. It supports both WCDMA and
GSM/GPRS frequency bands. HUAWEI U7315s has abundant functions and powerful
media processing capability, including:

3.1 Video Phone

HUAWEI U7315s supports the following functions for making video calls.
z
Synchronous video recording during a video call: You can record the remote
video. During recording, the recorded video is flashing with a red frame.
PIP: Your video and the remote video can be displayed on your screen at the
same time. You can arrange the positions of the two videos. You can disable this
function anytime.
When you fail to make a video call, HUAWEI U7315s can make a voice call
instead automatically.
Audio output in the handsfree mode or with the cable headset.
Sending images or media clips during a video call.
3.2 Streaming
HUAWEI U7315s supports the following functions of playing stream media.

Fast forwarding, rewinding and pausing of non-live stream media
Full screen display of stream media
Fast forwarding, rewinding, volume adjusting in the full screen mode
Rotation of images in the full screen mode
Sculpturing forms of messages in the full screen mode
Supported video formats: MP4, 3GP, and 3G2
You can start stream media in the following two ways:

Set up a bookmark in the local player and then the phone auto saves the full
RTSP address in the file format to the play list. You can run this file to access the
relevant file on the stream media server. The operator provides the detailed URLs
which will be saved in the default directory.
In the WAP browser, access the relevant connection in the WAP webpage.

HUAWEI U7315s supports short message service (SMS) based on GSM/GPRS,
WCDMA CS domain and PS domain. HUAWEI U7315s supports the following
powerful functions.

Editing, sending, and receiving SMS.
Sending messages to a group. When sending a message, you can read the
group, add contacts to the group or edit the group directly.
Long messages. A long message will be divided into several parts for sending.
While receiving a long message, HUAWEI U7315s combines all this parts
together into one message.
Making video calls or voice calls by dialing the number in the content of a
message.
3.6 Email
HUAWEI U7315s supports the following Email functions:

HUAWEI U7315s supports the following JAVA functions:

MMAPI1.1, and JSR184 3D API.
OTA download. You can download various JAVA applications through wireless
access and enjoy plenty of JAVA-based application services.
Managing the life cycle of JAVA applications, including selecting execution,

classified management, updating, deleting and setting execution permission.
Security policy required by MIDP2.0.
PUSH function. JAVA applications can run automatically through the PUSH
message.
JAVA applications with digital copyright protection.
Forwarding JAVA applications through Bluetooth and Email.
3.8 Phonebook
The following two submenus are in the phonebook screen:

Contacts
It displays the contacts saved in your phone or SIM/USIM card. Up to 1,000 contacts
can be saved in your phone. The number of contacts in the SIM/USIM card depends
on the type of the SIM/USIM card.
In the phone, you can save the name, nickname, mobile phone number, office number,
family number, Email address, home address, office address, fax number, call ring
tones (voice call ring tone and video call ring tone), caller image, and caller birthday
for each contact entry.
On a SIM/USIM card, you can save the name, nickname, two telephone numbers, fax
number, and Email address (needs the support of the SIM/USIM card).
You can also to set the default contact list displayed in the contact screen.
z
Group
It consists of two parts: the preset groups and the customized groups.
You can save the contacts in your phone and the card to the group. Each group can
contain up to 100 contacts.

The phonebook supports the following functions:

Selecting an image from the folder as the icon image of a contact. When a call
comes from this contact, the image is displayed.
Quickly searching for contacts in the contacts screen.
Copying contacts between the SIM/USIM card and the phone. Some data are
ignored when the information is copied from the phone to the SIM/USIM card.
Saving the contacts from the phone to the Micro SD card. The contacts are
encoded and packed in the VCARD2.1 mode.
3.9 Call Log

The call log has the following functions:

Up to 50 missed calls, 50 received calls, and 50 dialed numbers can be saved.

Video call log is different from voice call log. The duration, call time, call number,
and caller name are displayed in each entry.

With the phone number in the call log, you can save it to the phonebook, send

Offline: All radio frequency functions are off. The phone cannot make/receive

HUAWEI U7315s provides you with the HUAWEI U7315s Mobile Phone PC Assistant
(hereinafter referred to as PC Assistant). It can realize the communications between
HUAWEI U7315s and your PC through a data cable or Bluetooth adapter. With this

function, you can backup and edit your phonebook and message on your PC.
Moreover, when you change your phone, you can copy the phonebook of the old
phone to the new phone by using this software. You can also synchronize your
schedule. Installing this software is as easy as other software. For details, see the
help files of the Mobile Phone PC Assistant supplied with the phone.
PC Assistant provides the following management functions:

Quick editing, sending message to a group, saving messages from the phone to
the PC, and sending/receiving message through the PC
Managing the phonebook and the contacts, backing up important contact

information
Providing file management functions similar to the style of the Windows file
browser, backing up Chinese files in the phone
Synchronizing data between the phone and the personal Information

management (PIM) devices
Copying files such as images and songs from the PC to the specified folders of
the phone
In a word, PC Assistant provides you with a whole set of scheme for backing up and
managing phone data.
3.15 Accessing Internet on a PC through the Phone Modem

You can access the Internet by using your phone as a modem. In the WCDMA
network, the downlink rate is up to 384kbit/s and the uplink rate is up to 384 kbit/s. At
the same time, you can still enjoy the fun of answering voice calls and
sending/receiving messages. To get the previously mentioned rate, you should
subscribe a USIM card.
3.16 Taking Photos and Recording Video Clips

With HUAWEI U7315s, you can take photos and record video clips.
HUAWEI U7315s supports the following functions in taking photos:

3.19 Managing Folders and Files

The file management method of HUAWEI U7315s is convenient and practical. You
can query and use various media resources quickly.
The folders support the following functions:

are the default position for saving other applications (such as photos, video clips,
and audio records).
Creating folders in the specific folders.

Operation system (OS): REX real-time OS developed by QUALCOMM, provides
