All Souls Day

The Knights of Columbus will collect cash or checks to

support people with Intellectual Disabilities after this
weekend's Masses. The funds will be multiplied to help a
day activity center (Madeline's Center) and special protected housing (Noah Homes). We are thankful of the
care displayed at both sites.

Monday, November 2, is All Souls Day and we

will begin our annual All Souls Novena. Special
envelopes are available in the vestibule if you
would like to make a donation in memory of a
loved one. The envelopes will be placed on the
altar during the Novena.

Fun at the Fall Festival!

Enjoy a delicious breakfast of pancakes,
scrambled eggs, bacon, juice and coffee served
by St. Columba School students at Applebees Restaurant (Balboa & 805). Tickets
are $10 each and can be obtained at the school
office or at the restaurant the day of the breakfast. Funds raised will be used for the 7th and
8th grade trip to Washington, D.C.

Holiday Food Baskets

The Men's Club will be running
the St. Columba Holiday Food
Drive. There will be a inside basket near the front vestibule for
your items. Best food to share are
soups, vegetables, canned fruit,
sauces, breakfast items, pasta,
beans, etc. Any food not delivered
will be delivered to Catholic Charities. Know someone who needs food help? Then call Ed Ancmon

There will also be an outside marked box near the

Fr. Joseph Chinnici, O.F.M., President of the Franciscan School of Theology in Oceanside, will present Holiness and Conflict: the Missionary Spirituality of St. Junpero Serra discussing Serras life
work in Alta California and the current controversy
surrounding his canonization. Fr. Chinnici, Professor of Church History, earned his Doctorate in History from Oxford University and is the author of
numerous books and articles on Church History.
