In the following year, the Barangay and PTA officials constructed a makeshift building. It was
then that classes were transferred in the school site but the fourth year class was held in a
private house owned by Mr. and Mrs. Ganub. In 1970, a pre-fab building without flooring and
walling was constructed.
During the term of Ex-President Corazon C. Aquino, all barangay high schools were
nationalized that teachers received 70% salary from the national government and 30% from
the tuition fees.
The pre-fab building was rehabilitated in 1989 when late Mr. Abdulmalik H. Indanan was the
Schools Division Superintendent of Zamboanga Del Sur Division. Out of the amount for
rehabilitation, there were two more classrooms added since the rehabilitation was
administered by then the head teacher, and then became a principal, Mrs. Aurora S. Ong
who later became the principal.
In 1990, Diplahan Barangay High School was converted in Diplahan National High School.
Mr. Dennis D. Silva, School Principal III assumed to manage the school on July 2, 2008 after
the retirement of Mrs. Aurora S. Ong on June 22, 2008. The school at present has forty-nine
