Some people prefer to live in the countryside or village. They find the place
simple and peaceful. As for me, I prefer to live in the city. Living in the city has many
advantages over living in the countryside.
Life in the city is more enjoyable and exciting for it has modern facilities and
amenities. For example, I can go to the big shopping complexes and hyper supermarkets
with my family or friends. While shopping there, we can watch a movie in the wellequipped Cineplex using the latest sound system. We can have our lunch or dinner at the
Chinese, Western and many other restaurants. There is a variety of Western restaurants
serving Italian, French and American and many other types of food. At night, we can
have fun at the family recreation centre.
In terms of education, we have a variety of colleges to choose from. However, in smaller
towns, there might just be one or two colleges or none. When I graduate, I have better job
opportunities due to more factories and firms. With so many advantages in the city, why
would I want to stay in the countryside? If I want some fresh air and peace, I can always
take a drive to the countryside once a month.
Rewrite on the advantages of living in the city.
