David- I get uber nervous when this type of thing 'crops up'
because as one of the nine voices on city council I know
(because I've seen the annual director financial disclosures)
that your investments are "heavily weighted" toward funds
that are into oil, gas, coal, etc, etc, and that hasn't changed
over the last 3 years of annual director financial disclosures
I've seen. I'm nearly certain that your professionalism
totally supercedes personal biases but it makes me wonder
[[long into the wee hours occasionally]] because you, as
CAO, and your directors, and their managers, have a lot of
sway every day of the week (some Tuesdays inclusive).
Having said that I think you're doing a phenomenal job
also. Just nix the "extractive resource stocks" for f*ck
sakes!!!! #climatechange
...At least live up in Aberdeen near the mine site so that
probably balances off your investment choices to some
degree when it comes to the open pit mine "proplorsell".

For context the quote I posted in the original email is apparently pulled directly off of the SLR website ...
doesn't bode well for their ability to look in-depth at the probable city wide negatives associated with the
project being approved. And I say negatives because the company will without a doubt cover off the
'positives' in the 'lovely' docomements that they submit to the BCEAO .
. .. I know that council and the public will dictate what our consultant focuses on but the post has rendered me
somewhat skeptical of the choice of consultant ... do you believe SLR will be able to "satisfactorily" address
ALL of the areas of concern Kamloopsians will FOR SURE bring forward as per the public consultation plan
within the provincially dictated time frame?
Despite the way I might come across ... you are the director of the most challenging department, in the entire
city, whilst acting as the municipal representative on the TWO and you, and your crew/team, are doing a
stellar job.
David- I get uber nervous when this type of thing 'crops up' because as one of the nine voices on city council
I know (because I've seen the annual director financial disclosures) that your investments are "heavily
weighted" toward funds that are into oil, gas, coal, etc, etc, and that hasn't changed over the last 3 years of
annual director financial disclosures I've seen. I'm nearly certain that your professionalism totally supercedes
personal biases but it makes me wonder [[long into the wee hours occasionally]] because you, as CAO, and
your directors, and their managers, have a lot of sway every day of the week (some Tuesdays inclusive).
Having said that I think you're doing a phenomenal job also. Just nix the "extractive resource stocks" for f*ck
... At least live up in Aberdeen near the mine site so that probably balances off your investment choices to
some degree when it comes to the open pit mine "proplorsell".

Can you comment on this screen shot taken from the 'top comment' posted on the new online publication?
"SLR is an international company with offices in

several B.C. cities including Kamloops. The firm
specializes in the energy and mining sectors as
well as in renewable and low~carbon energy, waste
management, and planning and development." So
they are not into pubJic health nor into a full scale
economic assessment where opportunity costs
are fully explored and weighed aga inst the
proponent's projections. What does SLR exactJy
do except work to get mines approved? However I
may be wrong ... l will do further research, since the
info available here is somewhat "light".
