major advantage of the sector is its employment potential at low capital cost. As per available statistics, this sector employs an
estimated6crorepersonsspreadover2.6croreenterprisesandthelabourintensityintheMSMEsectorisestimatedto be almost 4
timeshigherthanthelargeenterprises.

Rs.50croreRs.100croreappreciatedbyover700%inthatperiod,comparedtoanincreaseofover150%inthenetprofitoflarge
