Search Tips
Basic Search Recommendations:
Search supports asset types such as documents and web contents in the Portal
When possible, enter the entire file name and extension in the search field. For example,
TestDocument.doc
Use as many key words as possible
Search terms can be titles, descriptions, partial content, or any text associated with a file
Search terms separated by a hyphen (-) are treated as separate terms
Search terms separated by an underscore (_) are treated as one term
Use the wildcard * at the end of a search query to expand the list of possible results
Avoid using too many wildcards, or beginning a search string with a wildcard. Doing so can slow the
search query considerably

14

Secure File Exchange (SFX)

Unlike the document library, SFX is intended for document sharing between smaller
teams. Security is normally based upon user ID. Your GM contact will set you up
with the appropriate read or write access.
SFX is commonly used by creativity teams to share documents with their suppliers
in place of email.

You will only see folders that

have been secured for you.
SFX will appear empty if you
have not been added to any
folders.
