I would like to thank my college for making us do a corporate internship which was very enlightening. I would
also like to thank my parents and my family for all the support and encouragement . I would like to thank Mr
venkat the M.D of Audi goa for giving me the opportunity to work in Audi. And a special thank you Mr Rachel
for providing me the guidance and support to full fill the tasks given to me and lastly the assistant marketing
manager Maple for teaching me.

Audi oversees worldwide operations from its headquarters in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. Audi-branded
vehicles are produced in seven production facilities worldwide.
Audi has been a majority owned (99.55%) subsidiary of Volkswagen Group since 1966, following a phased
purchase of AUDI AG's predecessor, Auto Union, from Daimler-Benz. Volkswagen relaunched the Audi brand
with the 1965 introduction of the Audi F103 series.
The company name is based on the surname of the founder, August Horch. "Horch", meaning "listen", becomes
"Audi" when translated into Latin. The four rings of the Audi logo each represent one of four car companies that
banded together to create the company. Audi's slogan is Vorsprung durch Technik, meaning "Advancement
through Technology". Recently in the United States, Audi has updated the slogan to "Truth in Engineering". Audi
is part of the "German Big 3" luxury automakers, along with BMW and Mercedes-Benz, which are the three
best-selling luxury automakers in the world.

As a manufacturer of high-quality and innovative luxury cars, Audi is one of the worlds leading premium
brands and is among the most admired on the world market. The basis of its success comprises pioneering
concepts in the domains of advanced technology and design.

Audi is represented in 110 countries worldwide and since 2004, Audi has been selling its products on the Indian
market.
In March 2007, Audi set up its own sales company for India. By establishing Audi India as a Division of
Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai, Audi is making a clear long-term statement in the country
with ambitious growths plans. Audis goal is to become the leading automobile luxury brand in the Indian market
in the next few years.
The Audi India strategy encompasses significant investments in branding, marketing, exclusive dealerships and
after sales service for the upcoming years.
At present, Audi is assembling the Audi A6 and the Audi A4 for the Indian market in Aurangabad.

Audi Goa

PANAJI: German luxury car manufacturer Audi on Friday announced the opening of its new showroom in
Porvorim with plans to open four more. The world class showroom was inaugurated by Mr Rahil Ansari, head
dealer development, Audi India, and Mr Venkat Muppana, managing director, Audi Goa.
Mr Muppana said the entire Audi India model range will be available for sale here after unveiling the swanky
sports vehicle R8 Spyder, costing around ` 1.7 crore.

Spread over a total area of 7516 sq ft, Audi Goa showroom has a honeycomb aluminum faade on the exterior in
line with Audis global corporate design and identity standards. The showroom has a display area that can
accommodate six Audi cars.
The entire Audi India Model range will be available for sale in Goa. Audi Goa will also house an Audi shop and
Audi exclusive elements, where customers can order customised products and purchase a variety of Audi
branded merchandise.
The Audi range includes the new Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q3, Audi Q5, Audi Q7,
Audi S4, Audi RS5 Coup, Audi TT Coup, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder.
"To tap further into the underlying growth potential of the luxury automotive market of Goa, we have chalked out
our dealer expansion strategy to reach the maximum number of potential buyers," said Mr Muppana. Audi is
targeting a 35 per cent market share, with the aim to sell eight to nine cars a month, he aid.
We have set a target of selling 8000 cars in 2012 and are seeing the market in Maharashtra as a key to the brand
reaching this mark. With sales of our bestselling models - Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7- in the fast
lane, coupled with the launch and overwhelming response to the Audi TT, Audi S4, new Audi A4 and Audi Q3,
we are well positioned for the future, he adds.

There are about 50 employees in total employed Audi Goa which include all the mechanics and
car body and interior dectoators in the workshop, the office boys ,drivers, helpers and other junior
staff.

Activities undertaken
The main sources of income for Audi is the sale of the cars. Most of the cars are imported from
aboard and they are sold by the dealer to the customers . Also they repairs the cars in the
workshop if any accident happens. Also they sell various car accessories for the various models.
Audi also does a lot of marketing activities to attract prospective customers for example audi goa
had held many promotional events like it had screened Iron man 3 in Inox, also it had sponserd a
food festival. Audi also associates itself with many celebrities so cars marketed better. Also audi
gets some of its professional driver down to all the dealerships soo that they could educated the
customers about all the features available in the cars. They make special off roading tracks to
show the customer all the off roading features.

My contribution

I was interested in marketing so I had interned under Mrs Maple D souse who was the marketing
assistant . whilst I was interning from April 22 to May 22 nd two promotional activities were
undertaken by Audi Goa. These activitis are undertaken to attract prospective customers and also
for the already existing custmers.
The first one being the preview screening of Iron man 3. The marketing ma nager Rachel went to
Inox and had booked the entire 3D theater for the 7PM show and had to buy food and beverage
coupons. Then I would help Maple call all the guest and invite them and ask if they would like to
attend the event and how many tickets they would like for their family. Then a day before the
screening we had to confirm if they were actually coming or not. And on the day of the event
stand behind the counter and help and distribute all the tickets and food coupons too people on
the guest list. The event went smoothly
The second event was the sports car event. There were 5 sports cars the RS5, 2 AUDI TT and 2
AUDI S4 . the event was held in verna on a empty strip of road close to the audi workshop. First a
press meet was held were the Audi MD MR Venkat Muppana had spoken about the event and
about the cars, to all the local newspapers. Then I had helped Maple call all the customers to test
drive the super cars. Two proffessional drivers had come from Bombay to help and inform the
guests about the cars. Then I had helped to make Slots so that non of the guests have to wait and
there would not be any confusion. Also prospective customers were invited soo that once they
drive the cars they would get interested and buy the super cars. The event was held on 2 days I
hepld coordinate the event and helped out the sports car event.

Conclusion
I learnt a lot working as a intern in Audi Goa, about the various problems faced while
dealing with customer and got a lot of insight about the workings of such a huge
company. I got a little accustomed to the corporate work life . This experience has been
really enriching. I honed my inert qualities of punctuality, determination, dedication and
hardwork over this period of time. This internship not only added value to my CV but
alsogave me sense of direction as to what my area of intrest was, which was marketing
and customer relations.
