THE STEPS OF ACTIVITY


A. Opening Activity ( 10 minutes )
Greeting
Checking students attendance and condition
Reviewing the previous lesson
Motivating
B. Main Activity ( 70 minutes )
Exploration
Giving brainstorming about the topic will be learned
Dividing the students into 4-5 groups
Each members of group use the number that have been giving from the teacher
Elaboration
Students gather with their home group
Students will get different materials from their members and they should be
responsible to their material that they get.
The students who get the same materials and the same number should gather and
make a new group(expert group).
Students do the discussion about their materials.
Students try to understand about what their materials in the expert group.
Students come back to their own group (home group) to share what they get in the
expert group.
Students in group identify what the meaning of the text is.
Students discuss the group result in order to get a good understanding and it starts
from the lowest number in group.

Students try to answer some comprehension question based on textthat has been
discussed.
Confirmation
Summarizing the text structure, the language features, and the communicative
purpose of hortatory exposition texts
Giving the students assignments to do at home by answering some questions of
hortatory exposition texts from the text book

C. Closing Activity (10 minutes)


Summarizing the reading skills learned
Students have the chance in delivering their own questions based oin the materials
given before.
