Introduction:
COBIT 5 is the only business framework for the governance and management of enterprise IT. Launched in April 2012, COBIT 5
helps maximize the value of information by incorporating the latest thinking in enterprise governance and management
techniques, and provides globally accepted principles, practices, analytical tools and models to help increase the trust in, and
value from, information systems.
In the COBIT 5 Foundation course, students will learn about the importance of an effective framework to enable business value
and delve into the elements of ISACAs evolutionary framework to understand how COBIT 5 covers the business end-to-end and
how it can assist you to effectively govern and manage enterprise IT.
Prerequisite:
There is no formal prerequisite for this course, but it is recommended that the participants have a working experience in a
management or supervisory role within IT or a similar business role.
Course objectives:
After completing the COBIT 5 Foundation course, delegates will have a thorough understanding of:

How IT management issues are affecting organisations

The need for an effective framework to govern and manage enterprise IT

ISACA offers professionals who have mastered the content in the COBIT 5 Foundation course an opportunity to demonstrate
their knowledge by taking an exam and earning a foundation level certificate.
Examination Prerequisite:

None
Exam details:

50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes.

50% (25/50) required to pass.


Successfully passing this exam will result in the attainment of the COBIT 5 Foundation Certificate.
Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a Torque IT course attendance certificate.
