In rare cases, the Rotary Guide Switching Gear Interruption Tab may over ride its home position
after the Main Switch is turned ON or the Exit Cover is opened and closed. When this occurs, a
grinding noise is created which results in a C1400 Error code or a Jam 00/50/51.

The size of the Rotary Guide Switching Gear Interruption Tab has been increased by 1.5mm. For
identification purposes, the description has been changed to Gear Guide Change.

The Gear Shafts have been changed from plastic to steel to increase the reliability of the
Exit Unit operation.

Firmware Upgrade Pack 9.01 is required: The Job Separator Eject Motor Operation timing is
changed so the motor will turn ON 50ms before paper reaches the rotary guide.

If a C1400 Error code or a Jam 00/50/51 occurs:

1. Check the Rotary Guide Switching Gear. Replace the Switching Gear with the new Gear
Guide Change if necessary.
2. Remove all four Gears and check for wear on the shafts. If wear is present, replace the Exit
Unit using item number 302H793146. This unit contains the Steel Shafts and the new Gear
Guide Change.
3. Upgrade to Firmware Pack 9.01 or above.

The material of the Shafts have been changed to

Steel
