These elegant, minimalist fixtures are thoroughly flexible in application. Apertures® are easily
grouped in linear and nonlinear patterns custom for any length or diameter. Modular’s
unmatched standards of quality and superior function of light give architects and designers the
ability to create artful and imaginative ceiling patterns. While Apertures® may be used for general
down lighting; other options for application include the use of round or square openings for
accent lighting, oval openings for highlighting artwork or wall washing and triangular openings
for directional lighting. To enhance the quality of their products, Modular also carries a line of
patented accessories such as locking rings, shielding filter media systems and thermal heat shields.

The Apertures® series is designed for use with (12V) MR16, AR70, AR111 and other low voltage,
primary voltage and metal halide lamps. For high ceiling applications, the fixtures can accommodate
PAR46, PAR56 and PAR 64 lamps. Apertures® can be easily installed in gyp board or plaster.

Typical Installation

Apertures® fixtures are to be supported from ceiling structures via acceptable, appropriate
methods to meet conditions and local building codes. Suggested methods of support are
all-thread, black iron or structural framing. Regardless of the mounting method, housing and
pre-cast plaster panels must be securely supported to eliminate any movement and to avoid
cracking of panel at tape edge.
