About giBS
Gitarattan International Business School (GIBS) is one of the pioneering business schools in Delhi. Situated at prime
location at Rohini, Delhi, Gitarattan offers postgraduate courses in management and computer science. Established
in 2004, GIBS progressed in all facets of education delivery by conducting MBA, MCA. In 2013-14, a specialised
MBA programme in International Business MBA (IB) was launched along with an integrated course MCA (Dual
Degree). These courses at Gitarattan are conducted in affiliation with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University,
Delhi. The Institute has necessary approvals to conduct these courses from All India Council for Technical
Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. The efforts and dedication for consistent delivery of quality education by
Gitarattan are recognised by National Accreditation & Assessment Council (NAAC), Govt of India by accrediting it.
The Institute is ISO 9001-2008 certified. Gitarattan is awarded Category 'A' Joint Assessment Committee of Govt of
Delhi and GGSIP University.

ADMISSION PROCESS
Students at Gitarattan are admitted through the Combined Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIP University, Delhi.
Central Counselling is done at the University Campus at Dwarka, New Delhi.
Out of the total seats 10 % seats are reserved for Management Quota. Out of the balance seats, 85% seats are reserved for
Delhi candidates and 15% for outside Delhi candidates. Specific reservations are done as per the policy of Govt of
Delhi.
For Management Quota Seats, candidates are required to report to the Institute directly. It is mandatory to qualify CET
for taking admission under Management Quota.

Learning Facilities
CAMPUS
The campus is located at Madhuban Chowk, Rohini, well connected by Metro and other public transport. The Sevenstory building has a state-of-the-art infrastructure. It is WiFi enabled with 4 Mbps (1:1 contention ratio) dedicated
Internet leased line connectivity.
AUDITORIUM
The Auditorium at giBS is centrally air-conditioned with LCD Projection & Sound System with a seating capacity of
300. It is a place where students come in contact with experts from industry & academia during conferences, seminars
and workshops, which enrich them with varied knowledge & skills.
LIBRARY
The library is the central repository of knowledge at giBS with more than 22,000 reference & textbooks on
management, computer science and various other allied subjects. Besides books, library has subscribes to many foreign
and Indian Journals, Business & IT magazines and newspapers.
COMPUTER CENTR/LABS
The Institute has a computer centre with 120 PCs and four computer labs each with 60 workstations. All labs are well
connected through LAN. Systems with high configurations are equipped with licensed software as per the requirement
of syllabi.
SEMINAR/CONFERENCE HALLS
giBS has three air-conditioned seminar halls each with seating capacity of 120. Seminar halls are equipped with audio
visual training aids to assist students to show case and present their view points on variety of issues.
CLASSROOMS
Air-conditioned classrooms are the most happening place in the Institute where student-teacher interaction on
curriculum and on variety of other aspects occurs. Classrooms are equipped with audio-visual training aids.

Industry-Institute Interface
Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) at Gitarattan is full time engaged in providing interface with the corporate
world. It brings corporate leaders face-to-face and exposes students by arranging special seminars, guest lectures and
organising industrial visits. Students of Gitarattan have
visited many companies such as Maruti, JCB, Gold Plus
Glass manufacturers, Somani Tiles, Narora Atomic Power
Plant, Ginni International, AVA Apparels, Air cargo
Terminal at IGI Delhi, and many more.
Summer internships organised by the IIPC takes the
students inside the company to have first-hand experience
with the corporate culture, its environment, carry out
analysis and link theory with the practices.
IIPC takes special care to provide placement assistance to
all the students. For this purpose campus placement is
carried out. Gitarattan is proud of its alumni who have been
working with the support of IIPC in companies such as Capital IQ, Naukri.com, AXIS Bank, BSE, IBM, HCL,
Reliance, IDBI, Wipro, Mirus, City Bank, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, Homital, CETPA, NIIT Technologies, and
many more. Year-after-year more than 80 percent of students find jobs in Indian and multi-national companies at an
average salary of Rupees five lacs and more.

Life at Gibs
For all round growth of students, experts from academia and industry provide expert inputs during the seminars,
conferences and workshops, organised by Gitarattan. It provides up-to-date information in various aspects of
knowledge development in different disciplines. Inter-institute participation of students in activities such as Case
Analysis Competition, Summer Training Competition etc brings students into competitive situations to test and develop
their abilities.
GIBS conduct every month cultural and sports activities to provide students platform to display their leadership,
organising and team spirit. Students participate in many inter-institute activities at the Institute and other sister
institutions, develop and display their all round abilities. Inter-Institute College Fest 'Zenith' has acquired big name
among the institutions. Zenith is a two days inter-college Fest where large number of colleges from Delhi and NCR
participate. Students participate in total 20 events and win fabulous cash prizes. Battle of Bands, Rock Band Night and
DJ & Percussionist are the star attractions for the students.
Abhinanadan (Freshers' Party), Abhivyakti (Farewell Party) and Felicitation Day to appreciate students achievements
are sought after dates by students in every academic session.

Pedagogy
The syllabus prescribed by the University is systematically planned and delivered by dedicated team of 68 Full Time
Faculty members. The faculty members lead by a strong group of 22 PhD holding team transfers latest developments in
various disciplines to the classroom with contemporary pedagogical methods. In this endeavour the Institute derives
full advantage of information technology by equipping each air-conditioned classroom with audio visual training aids
and integrating systems and processes with ERP systems.
While imparting high quality education, Gitarattan focuses on all round growth of students. GIBS endeavours to groom
business leaders and computer science professionals, who can respond effectively to challenging opportunities in a
corporate world that are changing faster than ever before. Special attention is given to the personality development of
students by integrating professionally developed Personality Development Module with the curriculum. Students
intensively participate in Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, Role Plays, Debate, Industry & Country Analysis,
presentations etc to harness their all round potential.
Institute enhances students' international positioning by enriching the syllabi by incorporating foreign language
(French).
