JESUS TOTALLY LOVES US

Many people have wondered if Jesus really loves them. The Bible is clear that no matter what we
have done, Jesus does love us. In fact, He promises to both forgive us of every wrong we have done
and provide us eternal life if only we will believe in Him: For God so loved the world, that he gave
his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John
3:16).
Romans 5:8 says, God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us. Before we were even born, God sent His only Son Jesus to die on our behalf to give us
the opportunity for eternal life. This amazing gift comes to us because of His wonderful grace toward
us: It is by grace you have been saved, through faithand this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of
Godnot by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:89). We dont have to earn His love;
we simply accept it.
It may be difficult to believe Jesus loves you because of other people who have let you down in the
past. However, Jesus is unlike any other person; He is God in human form (John 1:14). He was
involved in creating us, He sustains our every breath, and He offers us new life now and eternal life
in heaven with Him.
Another reason it may be difficult to accept the truth that Jesus loves you is that something you have
done in the past troubles you. Jesus already knows your past and still offers you eternal life and

forgiveness. A wonderful example of His love can be found in His last hours on the cross. One of the
men crucified next to Him was being put to death for his crimes. Turning to Jesus, he said, Jesus,
remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus answered him, saying, Truly, I say to you,
today you will be with me in paradise (Luke 23:4243). Despite this criminals sins, Jesus accepted
his simple and sincere act of faith and promised him eternity in heaveneven though Jesus knew
the man had no time to live his life differently.
When we ask, How much does Jesus love me? we only need to look at the cross. He stretched out
His hands and said, I love you this much. He gave His life to give you new life.
You can pray to receive Jesus as your Savior right now and accept His love and eternal life. There is
no special prayer to pray, but you can respond with a prayer similar to this:
Dear God, I realize I am a sinner and could never reach heaven by my own good deeds. Right now
I place my faith in Jesus Christ as Gods Son who rose from the dead to give me eternal life. Please
forgive me of my sins and help me to live for you. Thank you for accepting me and giving me eternal
life.

PRAYER
Prayer (from the Latin precari "to ask earnestly, beg, entreat")[1] is an invocation or act that
seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication.
Prayer can be a form of religious practice, may be either individual or communal and take place
in public or in private. It may involve the use of words, song or complete silence.
When language is used, prayer may take the form of a hymn, incantation,
formal creedal statement, or a spontaneous utterance in the praying person. There are different
forms of prayer such aspetitionary prayer, prayers of supplication, thanksgiving, and praise.
Prayer may be directed towards a deity, spirit, deceased person, or lofty idea, for the purpose of
worshipping, requesting guidance, requesting assistance, confessing transgressions (sins) or to
express one's thoughts and emotions. Thus, people pray for many reasons such as personal
benefit, asking fordivine grace, spiritual connection, or for the sake of others.
Some anthropologists believe that the earliest intelligent modern humans practiced a form of
prayer. Today, most majorreligions involve prayer in one way or another; some ritualize the act
of prayer, requiring a strict sequence of actions or placing a restriction on who is permitted to
pray, while others teach that prayer may be practiced spontaneously by anyone at any time.
Scientific studies regarding the use of prayer have mostly concentrated on its effect on the
healing of sick or injured people.Meta-studies of the studies in this field have been performed

showing evidence only for no effect or a potentially small effect. For instance, a 2006 meta
analysis on 14 studies concluded that there is "no discernable effect" while a 2007 systemic
review of studies on intercessory prayerreported inconclusive results, noting that 7 of 17 studies
had "small, but significant, effect sizes" but the review noted that the most methodologically
rigorous studies failed to produce significant findings.[2][3] Some studies have indicated increased
medical complications in groups receiving prayer over those without.[4][5] The efficacy of petition
in prayer for physical healing to a deity has been evaluated in numerous other studies, with
contradictory results.[6][7][8][9]There has been some criticism of the way the studies were
conducted.[5][10]

Question: "How to pray? What is the proper way to pray?"

Answer: Is it best to pray standing up, sitting down, kneeling, or bowing down? Should our
hands be open, closed, or lifted up to God? Do our eyes need to be closed when we pray? Is it
better to pray in a church building or out in nature? Should we pray in the morning when we get
up or at night before we go to bed? Are there certain words we need to say in our prayers? How
do we begin our prayers? What is the proper way to close a prayer? These questions, and others,
are common questions asked about prayer. What is the proper way to pray? Do any of the above
things even matter?
Far too often, prayer is viewed as a magic formula. Some believe that if we do not say exactly

the right things, or pray in the right position, God will not hear and answer our prayer. This is
completely unbiblical. God does not answer our prayers based on when we pray, where we are,
what position our body is in, or in what order we word our prayers. We are told in 1 John 5:1415 to have confidence when we come to God in prayer, knowing He hears us and will grant
whatever we ask as long as it is in His will. Similarly, John 14:13-14declares, And I will do
whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for
anything in my name, and I will do it. According to these and many other Scriptures, God
answers prayer requests based on whether they are asked according to His will and in the name
of Jesus (to bring glory to Jesus).
So, what is the proper way to pray? Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to pray without being anxious, to
pray about everything, and to pray with thankful hearts. God will answer all such prayers with
the gift of His peace in our hearts. The proper way to pray is to pour out our hearts to God, being
honest and open with God, as He already knows us better than we know ourselves. We are to
present our requests to God, keeping in mind that God knows what is best and will not grant a
request that is not His will for us. We are to express our love, gratitude, and worship to God in
prayer without worrying about having just the right words to say. God is more interested in the
content of our hearts than the eloquence of our words.
The closest the Bible comes to giving a pattern for prayer is the Lords Prayer in Matthew 6:913. Please understand that the Lords Prayer is not a prayer we are to memorize and recite to
God. It is an example of the things that should go into a prayerworship, trust in God, requests,
confession, and submission. We are to pray for the things the Lords Prayer talks about, using our
own words and customizing it to our own journey with God. The proper way to pray is to
express our hearts to God. Sitting, standing, or kneeling; hands open or closed; eyes opened or
closed; in a church, at home, or outside; in the morning or at nightthese are all side issues,
subject to personal preference, conviction, and appropriateness. Gods desire is for prayer to be a
real and personal connection between Himself and us.
