Information

Hamline University

Hamline University is Minnesotas oldest university. Named in honor of Leonidas

Lent Hamline, a Methodist bishop who donated the funds, Hamline's first home was
in the town of Red Wing in what was then the Territory of Minnesota. The first
classes were held on the second floor of the village general store. Hamline
graduated its first class in 1859: two sisters, Elizabeth A. Sorin and Emily R. Sorin,
who were not only Hamlines first graduates, but also the first graduates of any
college or university in Minnesota.
Texas A&M University-Kingsville grew out of the teacher college or "normal school"
movement that swept Texas and the nation in the early 1900s. Chartered in 1917
but not opened until 1925 because of America's entry into World War I, the
University is the oldest continuously operating public institution of higher learning
in South Texas. Shortly after beginning life as South Texas State Teachers College,
its role was expanded to embrace a wider array of programs. As its mission has
expanded, its name has changed to reflect its wider scope. Its first name change, to
Texas College of Arts and Industries, came in 1929. In 1967 the name changed to
Texas A&I University. The University became a member of the Texas A&M University
System in 1989 and in 1993 changed its name to Texas A&M University-Kingsville to
reflect that membership.
Since 1889, the University of Idaho has been a place that expects more from itself,

Moscow, Idaho and our centers throughout the state students find many
opportunities to share in our community and culture.
We offer a distinctive combination of outstanding majors and graduate programs,
accomplished faculty, world-class facilities, renowned research and a residential
campus in a spectacular natural setting.
Defining an appropriate framework to facilitate the mobility of students, realization
of joint programs, knowledge transfer and research together.

The NHS provides the majority of healthcare in
England, including primary care, in-patient care, longterm healthcare, ophthalmology and dentistry. The
National Health Service Act 1946 came into effect on
5 July 1948. Private health care has continued parallel
to the NHS, paid for largely by private insurance, but
it is used by less than 8% of the population[citation
needed], and generally as a top-up to NHS services.
Recently there have been some examples where
unused private sector capacity has been used to
increase NHS capacity and in some cases the NHS
has commissioned the private sector to establish and
run new facilities on a sub contracted basis. Some
