be achieved. According to (Kotler.J 2011),About 70% off all change efforts in organizations
fail for this reason it is very important to have a clear goal which is achievable. This report
will be describing the current business plan and strategy adopt by the business. Further it will
discuss about changes which can be applied to improve the business and the possible impact
could be happened for the proposed changes. In addition to this, it will also discuss how to
minimize the negative impact of the changes and how the changes will be monitored.

successful business. In Remon coffee shop we are dedicated to reduce the waste by ensuring
that all our packaging is biodegradable and recyclable. It targets to sell its products on the
same day as a strategy of provision of fresh and fine products.
A brief description of the Remon coffee shops goals and objectives includes;
1. It foremost ensures the provision of fresh food to the customers. The coffee shop only sells
the home made pastry, it never freeze any of the products as a way of guaranteeing the users
freshest and finest products.
2. The second goal and objective is to ensure serving the finest quality products. The Remon
coffee shop organisation work closely with the suppliers by dedicating production of
medium/full roast Colombian, Brazilian and Ethiopian Arabica coffees which are rich in
Arancinis and Cannoli Remon.
3. The third objective and goal is to commission superior customer services for the success of

products and services delivered to the customers are of high standards. Lastly the Ramon
coffee shop is articulated vision and object oriented towards great value for money. The
organisation accounts for every entity. Profit and loses that may be accrued.
The achievement of these goals and objective can only be attained by employing appropriate
strategies towards implementation. For instance it ensures the training of the staff to provide
superior services. With the trained staff our customers are happy to hold their confidence with

changing consumer tastes and needs with a coherence of the money they pay for. The coffee

With the mileage of provision of services to the potential customers, the organization strives
to make necessary recommendation and strategies to improve upon its size and business
expansion in general. Business expansion include everything with staff numbers, improved
communication, longer opening hours and introduction or changing of current menu and
using of pavement of the shop. If a business wants to approach new strategies or have
changes in strategies towards services improvement, human resources will be the most
efficient area to approach (Nakhai & Neves 2009). It is also recommended that in order for

the Ramon coffee shop to open up new outlets at Heathrow airport and near Oxford Street in
central London to meet the recent demand of the customers which is gained through excellent
customer services and quality products. This will allow many other potential customers to
subscribe with the Remon coffee shop. Provision of staff training program will be very
significant in ensuring for superior services for its clients and generally promotion of
increased sound business reputation. Extension of longer working hours will be another new
approach that could be effective to bring significant changes to the score of the business. And
the target customers basically will be who are profound of odd hours. There will be a Change
in the menu as well. With variety and diversity of customers, the change in menu is likely to
attract new potential customers.

4.1-4.2 The impact of the proposed changes on the business and the way
changes will be managed:
There possibly can have some impact on the business and the employees because of the
proposed changes which are explained below;

One of the changes the business will have is longer opening hour, as the business is getting
popular day by day its very important to operate the shop for a longer time which will be
helpful to maximize the profit but opening longer time needs legal authorization and more
employees. To minimize the impact of the longer opening hour, the manager of the business
asks for help from legal advisor to fix the legal paper work. And as stated above longer
opening hour needs more employees but employing new staff could cost more money and all
the staff needs to be trained which will also cost more money and it will be time consuming
as well, to minimize the impact on employee the manager of the business decides to ask the
current employees to work for few more hours and for this extra hour they will be paid
double, but still longer work load could impact on the effectiveness of the employee,
therefore , it is important to keep the employee happy thats why manger decides to launch
the appraisal for long shift working employees. In addition to this manager can start appraisal
for best performing employees so that the employees have some motivation to work with
passion, as a result it is still cheaper than employing new staff which is profitable for the
business. As all the staff is previously trained, therefore, there would be a good customer
services.
One of the goals of the business is to provide quality product with excellent service with a
reasonable price, for that reasons the business getting popular day by day and to utilize this
popularity to maximize the profit now manager of the business decides to open new store in
Heathrow and Oxford Street central London. This inauguration may have some impact on the
business and employees as well. To operate a completely new store there must have some
experienced employees. And sometimes it is quite difficult to find out employees who have
related experience. Even though the business find experienced employees but still new
employees are quite unfamiliar to the mother companys business strategy. To minimize this
impact the manager can transfer one or two experienced employees to the new shop and hire
rest of the employees and train them, therefore, there would be equilibrium of knowledgeable
employees in the store which is very important for the success of the business.
Opening new store needs more money as well, and it would be a poor decision if the manager
decides to cut down the budget from the current store, that is why the manger decides to have
loan from the bank which wont affect to the current business, however if there is a failure of
repaying the loan, business will be affected badly as consequences, to minimize this risk
owner of the business can ask for invest to his friends and familiars with lucrative business
plan and a clear profit sharing percentages.
To cope with the high demand of our business it is important to increase the number of seats
in the current store but increasing the number of seats inside the store will be crowded which
may have impact on better customer services, therefore, to minimize this impact on the
business the manager of the business can use the small open space outside the store. Using
this space needs legal authorization which can be fixed with the help of legal advisor.
Another crucial task that manager wants to do for better customer service is to train the
employee in a regular basis, but it could impact on the work flow of the business if the new

employees get practical training in the busy hours, that is why manager decides to train the
new employee in the time when the store is less busy.
Promoting the business is another important task that manger wants to do. And for the
success of the business it is very important to market the business, therefore, manager
proposed a customized menu with new logos. It will help the business to get more popularity.
The possible impact could happen on the business is; it needs to be financed however
customizing menu and creating a logo are more cheaper compared to negative impact could
happened because of that.

4.3 monitoring improvement:

Only having changes in the business is not enough if the changes is not monitored
appropriately. To improve the service all the employees should be briefed and trained on
regular basis. To have consistent taste of the foods and drinks there can be allocated a
timescale to check the taste, it can be weekly or quarterly. As stated above the business will
strive to have all staff trained by August 2014, for this all the employees performance needs
to be checked in a regular basis, to monitor the employees performance mystery guest could
be introduced. In addition to this, all the employees could be allocated for certain task, it will
be helpful to improve the performance of the employees. There could be also be set a target
time to serve the food and drinks, therefore, employees will strive to serve by this time and
thus the performance of the employees will be improved.
There could be set a checklist as KPI to maintain the operation of the business and to
maintain the hygiene and keep the facilities equipment safe; for instance

Checking the cleanliness before the shift start and after the shift close.
Checking all the facilities and equipment in a regular basis so that the operation keeps
smooth.
Set target sales in a certain timescale, i.e. 10,000 per week.
To communicate with customers email, Facebook, twitter can be used.

To protect the proposed plan there should be a contingency plan in the business so that the
work flow doesnt hamper. Contingency plan is a ongoing process by what business can take
preventive measure for the certain impact of any action, (Kotler.j.20011). One of the
contingency plan could be taken by the manger in terms of shortage of employees is having a
good communication with temporary recruitment agency and calling them for immediate staff
at the busy time.

Conclusion:

In the conclusion it is worth say that for the successful business a very clear goal and
appropriate strategy in needed. For any changes in the business there should be appropriate
measures to protect business form the negative impact.
