Susie Lee is a proven problem solver and successful education
advocate. For over 20 years, she has brought people together to
forge innovative solutions and help thousands of Nevadas children,
women, and families lead better, safer, and healthier lives.
Growing up in a working class, single income household, Susie and her
family lived paycheck to paycheck. Her father was a military veteran
who worked at an Ohio manufacturing plant and she and her six sisters
and brother pitched in to make ends meet by working various jobs
from early ages. Susie worked her way through college and earned
a masters degree in public management before going to work for an
environmental consulting firm.
Susie moved to Nevada in 1992 and immediately became active in
nonprofit work, starting a successful program for homeless women and
families. She then launched After-School All-Stars, which still today
provides 5,000 local students with after-school enrichment programs.
Since 2010, Susie has led Communities In Schools of Nevada, a
successful dropout prevention organization that now serves 56,504
at-risk kids in 54 schools and has raised graduation rates to 88% for
program students.
Now, Susie is running for Congress to bring people together to
solve problems and provide more opportunities to families who are

and make insurance more affordable
by making the system more efficient,
stopping the special tax on
union-negotiated health plans, and
allowing Medicare to negotiate for
lower prescription drug prices.

like cancer screenings and birth control.

make sure those who serve our country
are fairly compensated while they serve
and taken care of when they finish their
