INTRODUCTION
In fair Sigmaron the free people
of humanity gather, preserving
heraldry and cultural traditions from
civilisations ground beneath the weight
of unceasing strife. The clamour of
warlike souls fills the heavens, united in

Sigmars name. Though some of these


lost tribes have been driven from their
homelands, and others cast adrift on
the tides of time, every soul amongst
them dreams of wreaking bloody
revenge upon the forces of Chaos.

The warscrolls in this compendium allow


you to use your Citadel Miniatures
collection in fantastical battle, whether
telling epic stories set during the Age of
Sigmar, or recreating the wars of the
world-that-was.

WARSCROLL KEY
1. Title: The name of the model that the
warscroll describes.

2. Characteristics: This set of characteristics tells you


how fast, powerful and brave the model is, and how
effective its weapons are.
3. Description: The description tells you what weapons
the model can be armed with, and what upgrades (if
any) it can be given. The description will also tell you if
the model is fielded on its own as a single model, or as
part of a unit. If the model is fielded as part of a unit,
then the description will say how many models the unit
should have (if you dont have enough models to field a
unit, you can still field one unit with as many models as
you have available).

4. Abilities: Abilities are things that the model can do


during a game that are not covered by the standard
game rules.
5. Keywords: All models have a list of keywords.
Sometimes a rule will say that it only applies to models
that have a specific keyword.

Urskin' s Teeth and Claws

DESCRIPTION

ABILITIES

Boris Ursus, the Red Tzar is a single model.


He wields an enchanted pole-arm known as
the Shard Blade and wears the ancient
Armour of Ursun as well as carrying a stout
Kislevite Shield. He rides Urskin, a mighty
white-furred frost bear of Kislev who attacks
with its Teeth and Claws.

Shard Blade: After Boris Ursus, the Red


Tzar attacks in the combat phase, choose any
model that suffered a wound from the Shard
Blade and roll a dice. On a roll of 4 or more,
the model suffers an additional mortal wound.

Kin of the Bear God: After set-up is


complete, you can select a unit of KOSSARS
to be the Kin of the Bear God. That unit rolls
an additional attack in the combat phase on a
turn in which they charged.

Armour of Ursun: If Boris Ursus, the Red


Tzar fails at least one save in the combat
phase after an enemy unit has completed its
attacks, you may immediately choose him to
pile in and make attacks even if he has
already done so in that combat phase.

COMMAND ABILITY
Hard as Frost: When Boris Ursus, the Red
Tzar uses this ability, all FROSTBORN units
within 12" add 1 to save rolls and add 1 to
their Bravery until the start of your next hero
phase.

Kislevite Shield: You can re-roll failed saves


for Boris Ursus, the Red Tzar.

DESCRIPTION
Tzarina Katarin, the Ice Queen is a single
model. She carries the ancient blade of the
khan-queens, Fearfrost, and wears the
dazzling Crystal Cloak. She rides a Warhorse,
which fights with its Iron-hard Hooves.

MAGIC

ABILITIES
Fearfrost: If Tzarina Katarina, the Ice Queen
inflicts a wound on an enemy model with
Fearfrost, roll a dice. If the result equals or
exceeds the number of wounds the enemy
model has remaining, it is slain.
KEYWORDS

The Crystal Cloak: Models making melee


attacks against Tzarina Katarin, the Ice Queen
must subtract 1 from their hit and wound
rolls.

Tzarina Katarain, the Ice Queen is a wizard.


She can cast one spell in each of your hero
phases, and attempt to unbind one spell in
each enemy hero phase. She knows the
Arcane Bolt, Mystic Shield and Ice Storm
spells.

ICE STORM
Ice Storm has a casting value of 5. If
successfully cast, choose a visible enemy unit
within 18". If that unit wishes to make attacks
in the shooting phase before the start of your
next hero phase, your opponent must roll two
dice and add the results together. If the total
is greater than the unit's Bravery
characteristic, the unit may not shoot.

DESCRIPTION
A Kislev Boyar is a single model. Some
Kislev Boyars fight with a two-handed
Gospodar Axe, while others favour a lighter
sword called a Shashka used alongside a
Kislevite Shield or a Pistol. Many Kislev
Boyars make use of a powerful Hunting Bow
too. If mounted, a Kislev Boyar traditionally
wields a Gryphon Lance and a Kislevite
Shield. Sometimes, a Boyar is granted the
honour of carrying the Bear Standard into
battle.

KEYWORDS

WARHORSE
A Kislev Boyar may ride a Warhorse,
Bear Standard: A Kislev Boyar with a Bear
granting him a Move of 12" and the Iron-hard Standard gains the TOTEM keyword. Any
Hooves attack.
FROSTBORN units within 18" of a Bear
Standard halve the number of models that flee
ABILITIES
(rounding up) if they fail a battleshock test.
Kislevite Shield: A Kislev Boyar with a
Kislevite shield has a save of 4+.
COMMAND ABILITY

DESCRIPTION

ABILITIES

A Kislev Ranger is a single model. She


carries a powerful Hunting Bow and a curved
Shashka sword and wears a thick Hunter's
Cloak across her shoulders.

Ranger's Quarry: You may add 1 to any hit


roll for a Kislev Ranger if the target of the
attack has the CHAOS or MONSTER
keywords.

Feral Senses: If an enemy unit is deployed


within 12" of a Kislev Ranger during the
game, roll a dice. On a result of 5 or 6, the
unit suffers a mortal wound.

Hunting Bow: A Hunting Bow inflicts D3


Damage instead of 1 against MONSTERS.

Scout Ahead: After set-up is complete, you


can make a bonus move with this model as if
it were moving in the movement phase. This
model can run when making its bonus move.

Hunter's Cloak: Your opponent subtracts 1


from any hit rolls that target a Kislev Ranger
in the shooting phase if this model is in cover.

DESCRIPTION
A Kossars unit consists of 10 or more models.
Kossars whittle down their enemies with their
Hunting Bows before standing firm in the
face of the charge and retaliating with their
two-handed Gospodar Axes.
ESAUL
The leader of the unit is the Esaul. He makes
2 attacks instead of 1 with both his Hunting
Bow and Gospodar Axe.

KEYWORDS

STANDARD BEARERS
Models in this unit may be Standard Bearers.
If the unit includes any Standard Bearers, add
1 to the Bravery of all its models.

ABILITIES
Cleaving Axes: Models in this unit add 1 to
their hit rolls with their Gospodar Axes if the
unit they are targeting charged in that turn.

HORNBLOWERS
Models in this unit can be Hornblowers. Once
per turn, if an enemy unit ends its charge
move within 3" of a unit that includes any
Hornblowers, they can signal their unit to
stand and shoot; each model can then shoot
its Hunting Bow at the charging unit.

DESCRIPTION
An Ungol Horse Archers unit consists of 5 or
more models. They harry the foe with curved
Horse Bows and defend themselves with
sharp Shashka swords. They are mounted on
Swift Steeds which fight with Flailing
Hooves.
DARGA
This unit is led by a Darga. He makes 2
attacks instead of 1 with both his Horse Bow
and Shashka.

DESCRIPTION
A unit of Winged Lancers consists of 5 or
more models. They wield Lances and Blades
alongside light Kislevite Shields. Their agile
Steeds attack with their Hooves.
ROTAMASTER
The leader of this unit is a Rotamaster. He
makes 2 Attacks instead of 1 with his Lance
and Blade.

TRUMPETERS
Models in this unit can be Trumpeters. If a
unit that includes any Trumpeters charges,
roll three dice instead of two to determine the
distance it can move. This also means you
can attempt to charge enemy units that are up
to 18" away instead of 12".

ABILITIES
Kislevite Shields: You can re-roll saves of 1

ABILITIES

A Last Stand has the following


units:

Nowhere To Run: As the overwhelming hordes advance, the brave Kislevites


know that there is no leaving this battlefield; they must stop the enemy or die
trying. All units in the Last Stand have +1 Bravery.

The Long War: The people of Kislev have stood against the encroachments of
Chaos since their nation was founded. Now, as hope fades, they gather

Last Stand can re-roll all failed hit and wound rolls made against CHAOS units.

DEFENDERS OF THE STEPPE


ORGANISATION

ABILITIES

Defenders of the Steppe consists of


the following units:

Swift Vengeance: On horseback in their home terrain of the wild steppe, the
Kislevite nomads are incomparable warriors. Units in the Defenders of the
Steppe can re-roll the dice for run and charge moves.

1 Kislev Boyar (must be mounted


and armed with a Hunting Bow)
1 Kislev Hunter
3 units of Ungol Horse Archers

Surprise Attack: You can choose not to set up any of the Ungol Horse Archer
units that are part of this battalion. Instead, in any of your movement phases you
can place them within 6" of the edges of the battlefield that is more than 9" from
any enemy models. This counts as their move for that turn. All of the units you
have held back in this way must arrive on the same turn (but can arrive in
different places if you wish).
