The SP21 portable radio is available in either a VHF* or a UHF model. No matter which model you choose, these two-watt,
one-channel radios give you plenty of power to get your message through loud and clear. The SP21 is available in one,
two, and four-channel models providing flexibility to grow the SP21 radio fleet as your business grows and you need additional talk groups. And every SP21 radio comes complete with a host of valuable features.
Versatile Channel Spacing and X-Pand Audio Enhancement
The SP21 two-way radio is designed with built-in channel spacing versatility, giving you the option to use either
25 kHz channel spacing or the newer 12.5 kHz frequencies. Whats more, the radio utilizes exciting X-Pand
technology on all 12.5 kHz frequencies, which significantly reduces background noise and enhances sound quality.
The SP21 radio can operate on any one of 16 frequencies at 25 kHz, and even more frequencies at 12.5 kHz **. So
whether your company has a 25 kHz or 12.5 kHz frequency assignment, your users will still be able to communicate
easily and efficiently, now and in the future.
Private Line Capabilities and Easy Audio Programming
The Private Line feature of the SP21 radio allows you to program in a code unique to a specific group of radios. With the two
and four channel SP21 radio model it is possible to program different Private Line codes on different channels. This virtually eliminates unwanted transmissions and keeps lines of communication clear for important business. And setting or changing Private
Line codes or radio frequencies is simple with convenient audio programming. You just follow the voice prompts and push a few
buttonsno need to open the radio or struggle with switches.
Voice Operated Transmission (VOX)
Voice-activated transmission capability is a standard feature on the SP21 portable. When used with a headset or
earpiece with a microphone, the sound of your voice activates transmission, allowing hands-free operation of
your radio.
Lightweight, Compact Design
The sleek new design of the SP21 portable makes it light and comfortable to carry, weighing in at just 11 ounces
(312 g) and measuring only 4.5" x 2.5" x 1.2" (114.3 x 63.5 x 30.5 mm). A removable clip attaches the radio securely
to your belt when you need to keep your hands free. Readily accessible controls are located on the top and sides.
Convenient Charging Adaptor
A 10-hour, 110-volt charging adaptor that plugs directly into any regular wall outlet is a standard SP21 radio
accessory. An LED indicator on the adaptor lights up when the battery is charging, so you know power is flowing
through to your radio.
