This ultra compact instrument has its own built-in powerful cooling unit
(patented). Such unique refrigeration technique allows cooling the test cell down to
105C (-157F) without any external liquid connection.
Due to this unequalled performance the CPP5Gs is the only instrument able to
determine pour/cloud point of any kind of samples down to ultra low temperatures
below 90C (-130F).
The instrument performs the test completely unattended by controlling the jacket
cooling steps in accordance with the specified cooling profile.
The CPP 5Gs is 100% user configurable. Cooling profiles, test intervals as well as
many other parameters may be customized on the stand-alone instrument.
Each instrument is equipped with RS232C and a PC link as standard.
Connected to a PC with the ALAN (Automatic Laboratory Analyzer Network)
32-bit multi-tasking software under Windows 95/98/NT, the CPP 5Gs provides
to a user numerous advanced features:
tests can be started from the PC with
unlimited number of test programs;
database with result management;
program and cooling profile editor;
automatic results transmission to the
LIMS with a user defined protocol;
and many other functions
A summary window displays the instrument status with alarm, sample ID, bath
and sample temperatures. Up to 31 analyzers can be monitored by the same PC.

Pour point by actually tilting the sample

The CPP5Gs determines pour point of petroleum
products as described by the manual test method. No
turning, pressing or twisting. Located in the detection
head, an optical detection system is engaged to observe
the movement of the specimen surface.

Cloud point by optical detection system

As human observation and according to ASTM
D2500 definition, the cloud point is detected at the
bottom of the test tube, where first wax crystals
appear.
Standard or customized cooling profiles can be
selected for each of 15th test programs available in
stand-alone mode (unlimited with PC connection).

The operator is able to program jacket temperature

steps and sample temperatures at which the jacket
shall be switched to the next step.
