Dear Sales Representative,
Fill out this checklist very carefully and return it to the CZM Service Support Team for refractive
products in Jena, Germany by Fax (Fax: +49-3641-220442) or e-mail (hotline@meditec.zeiss.com). The
completed and confirmed presales checklist is a mandatory prerequisite for order confirmation!
In case of questions contact the CZM Service Support (see above).
1. General Information
If one or more items of the checklist do(es) not match with the given requirements, make a note in the
Remarks section of the presales checklist (Section 6). If the installation site does not meet the given
room requirements, make a detailed sketch of the room dimensions (Section 5)! Use the sample layouts
of the Visumax Combi Configurations (Section 8).
Select the power cable plug / socket type (Section 9) that is required for your region. If no plug / socket
type is selected the cable will be delivered with the standard Continental Europe plug)!

2.2 MEL 80 Room Requirements

Construction and renovation work finished 4 weeks before MEL 80 installation / MEL 80 operation*
Location (installation site) altitude: max. 3000 m (9843 ft)
Temperature between 18C and 24C (65F 75F) can be expected (air conditioned)
Relative humidity < 50% can be expected (air conditioned)
Air conditioning available (cooling capacity > 800 W)
Flat and even, vibration free installation surface
Minimum floor load-bearing capacity 250 kg/m
Minimum point load 200 kg/ m
2.3 MEL 80 Transport in to the Treatment Room

Inclined planes must be max. 5%
All doors to be passed, have a minimum width of 80 cm
The way is free of steps higher than 10 cm
Elevators
have
a minimum door-width of 80 cm
a minimum deep of 210 cm
a minimum rated load capacity of 350 kg
* Aerosols, vapor, fumes and similar substances caused by renovation work (paint job, wall paper, carpet laying)
have a disturbing effect on the performance of Excimer lasers. Therefore installation and first operation of the
MEL 80 must not be done before 4 weeks after the renovation work was finished.
