INTRODUCTION
Information technology plays an important role in changing the
way people do. These changes had been widely adapted by the society
which has brought convenience, affectivity and comfort. It has greatly
transformed the societys main structure and functions and, likewise,
has helped people in attaining great development.

Objectives of the Study
To develop a computerized reservation and information system of
the church that gives the details about of each client, update status,
reserved information into database easily transact their payment while
reservation is made and generate reports between the clients and the
church.
Specific Objectives:
To be able to communicate to the other churches through online
connections.
To reserve a various occasions such as wedding, baptism, and other
sacramental ceremony.
To avoid conflicts of schedule.
To provide a computerized way of organizing and managing
schedule events while providing accuracy of information.
To create a reservation system of the church and to identify the
difference between their current manual system and computerized
system.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
In this chapter the following proposed system aims to developed
web application for facilitating reservation process at church like
accommodating a ceremonial baptism, both special baptismal or
together with other pilgrims to be baptized; matrimony reservation.
The system provide the reception an easy way for searching on
schedules, listing off schedules, inserting the client information, getting
details about specific client, making a reservation for schedules of a
certain ceremony.

RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY
Burns and Grove (2003:195) define a research design as a
blueprint for conducting a study with maximum control over factors
that may interfere with the validity of the findings. Parahoo
(1997:142) describes a research design as a plan that describes how,
when and where data are to be collected and analyzed. Polit et al
(2001:167) define a research design as the researchers overall for
answering the research question or testing the research hypothesis
and for this chapter it focuses on the opinion of the proponent on the
current system used by parish.
Materials and Methods
We had interviewed the registrar of the Danao Parish Church
about their system through the aid of some papers with questioners on
it. We also gather sources from the helpful sites for the questions and
for the appropriate type of research to be used. This is one of such site
we are referring, yedetipeuniversity.com.
The research approach is experimental, qualitative, exploratorydescriptive and contextual.
1. Experimental research
How many people are being reserved in a certain ceremony with
time spent reserving?
Independent variable time spent reserving
Dependent variable number of people being reserved
2. Qualitative research
Burns and Grove (2003:19) describe a qualitative approach as a
systematic subjective approach used to describe life experiences and
situations to give them meaning. Parahoo (1997:59) states that
qualitative research focuses on the experiences of people as well as
stressing uniqueness of the individual. Holloway and Wheeler
(2002:30) refer to qualitative research as a form of social enquiry that
focuses on the way people interpret and make sense of their
experience and the world in which they live. We use the qualitative
approach to explore the behavior, perspectives, experiences and
feelings of people and emphasize the understanding of these
elements. Researchers who use this approach adopt a person-centered
holistic and humanistic perspective to understand human lived
experiences without focusing on the specific concepts (Field & Morse
1996:8). We focused on the experiences from the participants
perspective. In order to achieve the emic perspective, we became
involved and immersed in the study. Our participation in the study
added to the uniqueness of data collection and analysis (Streubert &
Carpenter 1999:17). Complete objectivity is impossible and qualitative
5. Context
The context is significant in qualitative research. According to
Holloway and Wheeler (2002:34), context includes the environment
and conditions in which the study takes place as well as the culture of
the participants and location. The participants in this study were
ordinary people. The setting was in the Santo Tomas de Villanueva
Parish at Danao City, Cebu. The opinions of the proponent who provide
study for the said Parish cannot be studied outside their context and
are, therefore, dependent on the context and the time.
