PATHFINDER MODULE:

RISEN FROM THE SANDS

PATHFINDER SOCIETY ORGANIZED PLAY

Pathfinder Module: Risen from the Sands may be played for

credit as part of the Pathfinder Society Organized Play
campaign. The adventure was produced for a wider
audience than just Pathfinder Society Organized Play
and is thus structured differently from scenarios. As
such, the specific rules changes needed for
receiving Pathfinder
Society
Organized
Play
credit
when
playing this adventure
are presented here.
Pathfinder Modules
are not tiered for play
by PCs over a wide range
of levels. Thematically, the
adventures do not assume
that the PCs are members of the
Pathfinder Society as scenarios do;
in fact, Risen from the Sands assumes
that the characters are members of
an Osirian archeological group.

apply to the 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-level PC who played this

module. A GM who runs a module may likewise apply
credit to any one of her Pathfinder Society PCs of those
levels. The decision of which character to apply credit to
must be made when the Chronicle sheet is received
and signed by the GM.
Playing Risen from the Sands from beginning
to end earns a player 1 XP and 1 Prestige Point.
In addition, the PCs can earn 1 additional
Prestige Point by accomplishing four
of the following: recover the scroll of
searing light in Area 8, recover the
periapt of health in area 12, recover
the fire elemental gem in area 15, recover
the silver sphinx figurine of wonderous
power in area 18, recover the periapt of
foul rotting in area 18 (either without
triggering its curse or successfully
removing the cursed item), or open
the puzzle door in area 16 without
triggering its trap. The GM earns
1 XP and 2 Prestige Points for
running the entire module.
As a special incentive, those who
play the module as part of Free
RPG Day 2014 automatically
earn the additional Prestige
Point as though they had
fulfilled the special secondary
success conditions.
As always, each player may receive
credit for each module once as a player
and once as a GM in either order.

Legal Pathfinder
Society Characters
Players who wish to receive
Pathfinder Society credit for playing
through Risen from the Sands must use
either one of their Pathfinder Society
characters
(without
modification)
within the legal character level range for
the module or one of the pregenerated
characters provided on pages 1215 of the
module. These pregenerated characters
use four of the 10 new classes included in
the upcoming Pathfinder Roleplaying Game:
Advanced Class Guide.
