Sample Answer:
As the temperature of sodium thiosulphate solution increases, the rate of
reaction increase.
Able to state the relationship between the temperature of sodium thiosulphate
solution and the rate of reaction less correctly
Sample Answer:
The temperature of sodium thiosulphate solution directly proportional to the
rate of reaction.
Able to give an idea to the relationship between the temperature of sodium
thiosulphate solution and the rate of reaction
Sample Answer:
Temperature of sodium thiosulphate solution affects the rate of reaction.
No response or wrong response
1(b)
Able to state the relationship between the manipulated variable and the
responding variable and state the with direction
Sample answer:
The higher/lower the temperature of sodium thiosulphate solution, the
higher/lower the rate of reaction.
Able to state the relationship between the manipulated variable and the
responding variable less correctly
Sample answer:
The rate of reaction increase as the the temperature of sodium thiosulphate
solution higher/lower.
Able to state the idea of hypothesis
1 (c)
Sample answer:
The temperature affect the rate of reaction.
Sample answer:
Manipulated variable: Temperature of sodium thiosulphate solution.
Responding variable: Rate of reaction. / Time taken for X to disappear from
sight.
Constant variable: Volume and concentration of sodium thiosulphate solution
/Size of conical flask.
Able to state any two variables correctly
1 (d)
Able to state the correct operational definition for rate of reaction correctly.
Sample answer:
The rate of reaction refer to the time taken for X mark to disappear from sight.
Able to state the meaning of rate of reaction incompletely.
Sample answer:
The rate of reaction is the speed for the product to be formed.
Able to state an idea of rate of reaction.
Sample answer:
The rate of reaction is inversely proportional to the time
