CHRISTMAS RAFFLE We will be selling raffle tickets after each Mass from NEXT weekend until
Christmas to raise funds for the Parish. Prizes as follows : First prize : Christmas food hamper.
Second prize : Homemade Christmas Cake and Christmas Pudding. Third prize : Bottle of
Prosecco.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS There will be a second collection on weekend of
12th 13th December for the flowers for Christmas. Our flower ladies who do
the flowers each week produce beautiful displays and work hard throughout
the year. Please be as generous as you can.
MISSIO APF/MH Red Boxes will be collected during December in time for banking before the
year end.
DECEASED Please pray for Alida Bavin who died recently, her Funeral Service will be on
Monday, 30th November at 1.00pm at St Gilberts, Eton Wick, followed by burial at St Johns,
Eton Wick. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

ECUMENICAL ADVENT SERVICE Unfortunately this year's Churches Together in Burnham


Advent Service on Sunday, 6th December at 3.00pm has had to be cancelled.
THANK YOU Mary McCarthy would like to say a big Thank You to Fr Andy for allowing her to
come to Our Lady of Peace and St Andrews to sell Christmas cards and gifts in aid of the St
Gilberts Mission funds, also to those who helped at the Churches; Julie, Chris, Joe, Alan,
Martin, Jenny and Erin. The group raised 421. Thank you again for your great support.
ADVENT BOOKS copies available of Walk with Me for the Year of Mercy, a journey of prayer
for Advent and Christmastide, also available My Day by Day Infant and Junior Advent books.
All priced 1 each, from the Church porches.
THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION will be conferred by Bishop Peter
NEXT year on Tuesday, 21st June 2016 at 7.30pm. If any young person
from Year 8 onwards would like to receive Confirmation next year, then
please will they themselves write to Fr Andy as soon as possible to request to
receive this Sacrament and to join the course. All applications need to be in
by Friday, 15th January 2016 please.
ADORATION of the Blessed Sacrament prior to the 6.00pm Mass on Saturdays, beginning at
5.15pm. Please respect the Lord and those who would like to pray by maintaining silence in
Church prior to Mass.
ROSARY The Rosary will be said after the 9.30am Mass at St Andrews each Thursday.
CHURCH LINEN Many thanks to all who help with the Church linen throughout the year. If you
would like to help with this Ministry please speak to Denise, we urgently need more volunteers.

SLOUGH FOODBANK thank us for our donations which they received on 4th and 13th November.
They weighed 163.8 kgs and this is equivalent to about 184 individual meals. Your generosity and
continued support is greatly appreciated. They would very much welcome products on their wish
list: these are: pasta and curry sauces, sponge puddings, long life fruit juices, long life milk, rice
500g or 1kg. They have more than enough to meet their needs of all types of pasta, tins of baked
beans and breakfast cereals, so please do not include them in your donation at the present time.
ST ANDREW'S DAY Monday, 30th November at 7.00pm celebrating 45 years of sharing
together in St Andrew's Church. A Service of Evening Prayer led by our Area Deans, Rev Kevin
O Driscoll and the Rev Rod Cosh. After the service refreshments will be served.
BAPTISM PREPARATION COURSE The next Baptism Preparation course that Deacon Marek
will be running begins on Wednesday, 2nd December at 6.00pm and will be held in the Sacristy
at Our Lady of Peace. If you wish for your child to be Baptised over the next few months, you will
need to attend the course. This is especially important for first time parents. If you have not
already advised that you will be attending, please contact Yvonne on 01628 605764.
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL meet on Monday, 7th December at 7.30pm in the Sacristy.
ADVENT RECONCILIATION SERVICE To mark the beginning of the Year of Mercy, we will be
having a celebration Mass at Our Lady of Peace on Tuesday, 8th December at 7.00pm followed
immediately by an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation with visiting priests.
ST ANDREW'S Christmas Fair. Saturday 12th December 10am-1.00pm. Plenty of stalls including
Tombola, Raffle and Coffee and snacks. There are stalls to be hired for 10 per table. Please
contact Hazel Ashmore on 01628 664526.
CHRISTMAS CHURCH CLEANING This will take place on Saturday, 19th December at 9.00am.
Please come along and try and spare an hour to help clean the Church in preparation for our
Christmas services. Mince pies and tea/coffee will be supplied!!
FREE TRAINING DAY for young adults interested in youth ministry on Saturday, 23rd January in
Watford. This training/exploration day is run by Soul Survivor and has been running for many
years and has a very good reputation. If there are any young people in the Parish who may be
interested in attending it is definitely worth going to. And it is FREE and relatively close by. For

LUX MERCY Friday, 29th to Sunday, 31st January. NYMO will have its annual LUX
retreat weekend in Northampton in the Kings Park Centre. It is for youth aged between 11-18
years. LUX is a residential weekend retreat which consists of games, activities, prayer, Mass
and faith formation. The theme this year is mercy. The cost is 90 per person and includes bed,
board and food. There are bursary places available if money is a problem for some families.
Closing date for bookings is Friday, 8th January 2016. Booking forms are available to download
