1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this method statement is to outline the sequences&methods of works
intended to be used for the Cable Conduit & Tray Installation.
2. SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to the KHABAT Project.Also including to the cable tray
installation according to the agreement.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in and provide input to Safety Task Analysis Risk Reduction Talk
(START)/Job Hazard Analysis. Provide HSE coverage for Commissioning activities and
walk downs.
Cable tray supervisor shall be ensuring that work area facilities are safe prior to cable
tray work activities.
Personel Protection Equipment have to be used by workers
Our staff has the responsibility to check if workers are wearing the proper PPE at site.
If a worker is not working proper to the HSE rules; supervisor will stop him.

Related Personnel
Project Manager; directs and coordinates the work execution and the administration of
the worksso as to ensure to compliance with the established schedule ,budgets and quality
requirements.
Construction Manager, manage the activity of construction personnel ,to ensure that
the construction and installation work is in accordance with the established construction
schedule .
QC Department;responsible controlling and directing the activities complying with the
quality requirements given in the references and reports to the Project Manager.
Administering and approving project inspection and test plan.
Reporting quality problems to the Project Manager.

4. PROCEDURES
NOTE: The vendors instruction manual takes precedence over this procedure in the
event of conflicts. Detailed equipment installation procedures and parameters shall be
according to the vendors manuals.

Installation&Manufacturing of Cable Tray Supports shall be suitable to the project

design.Strength of the supports have to be proportional to the cable tray size and pulling
cable.Welding Quality of the supports are important if support manufacturing will be welded.
Ensure that proper materials are available and are approved for use, as well as
the approved drawings.
Verify site access/routing and mark support locations.
Obtain work permit, if required.
Fix the support on the natural structures.
Fix the vertical ladder trays channel on the support.
The cable trays and ladders shall be installed in such a way that ,as often as
possible the cables can be laid directly in place rather than being pulled through.
Clearance shall be maintened according to the approved drawing and
specifacations.
Sharp edges of trays & ladders shall be reamed to smooth and paint.
Connect earth bonding.
Cable Conduit;
Support interval shall not exceed 1500mm unless otherwise specified.

5. ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
Installation of cable conduit & tray installation shall be within project design and vendor
requirements and tolerances.
