Provi ding consultancy services for additional works on YCEW

and NH-4 under variation of existing contract.

Sir,
During taking over of charge, we found that apart from our scope, there are some
works / improvements are in progress on Expressway as well as NH-4. These works
are allotted to various agencies. MSRDC has yet not appointed consultant for these
following works.
1. Replacement of distressed PQC panel by Jaihind Road Builders
2. Land slide protection work by Maccaferri
3. Fixing and maintaining the steel wire rope flexible barrier by Mahinma
Constructions.
4. Valuation of trauma care centre at Ozarde by Woodstock.
As per instruction, given by Chief Engineer, Shri A V Deodhar, we are started to
provide consultancy services like supervision, quality control, quantity verifications
and related services like project management consultancy to above works.

The

nature of services to above works and approved scope of independent engineer is

different. Hence we have engaged separate team under monitoring of existing
team leader. MSRDC officials are well known about this team. The additional team
are as bellow.

We also know that MSRDC is processing activity for appointment of separate

consultant for these works. But it seems to take further time. Meanwhile we are
providing services right from beginning i.e. from 8 th September 2014.
To accommodate our extra expenses, MSRDC can approve our variation by
modifying in existing tender under GC clause 2.6. We have prepared quotation
based on approved rates in our tender is Rs. 9.58 lacs per month. The rates are
applied from approved tender which is 6 months earlier.
If MSRDC approves our demand under variation, there will be saving with following
assumptions.

Same Team leader will monitor these projects.

Existing office set up can be used for these works.

Then our best competitive quotation for project management consultancy for above
works is Rs. 5,93,000/- per month.
Hence it is requested to consider our demand of variation sympathetically
which is most reasonable. After appointment of new consultant, all the records will
be handed over. On that date, our service will be automatically expires.
