News in brief
Room recipes, macarons, fabric
samples and Clipsal switches were
all front and centre at the Clipsal
showroom on Thursday, September
24, when the Room Recipe Project
was launched.
The event, featuring leading stylist
Megan Morton, was a chance to
boost awareness and to educate
interior designers on the extensive
range of Clipsal switches and
outlets. Two sessions were held
during the day, each with around 20
participants. Each session was
broken up broadly into two parts,
with the first part comprising of a
presentation from Megan and the
second part a hands-on activity with

each of the participants invited to

produce their own Room Recipe or
flat-lay, featuring a Clipsal switch and
other beautiful objects.
A room recipe, or flat-lay, is a
combination of items that are
brought together around a similar
theme, which can then be used by
an interior designer to create the look
and feel the client is after. The
exercise allowed participants to think
about electrical accessories as a key
part of this mix, rather than a
component that is best hidden.
The idea behind a flat-lay is that the
viewer almost forgets exactly what it
is that they are looking at; they just

Meet your colleagues
APC by Schneider Electric was
recently recognised for pioneering
energy efficiency across IT
solutions, winning the annual ARN
ICT Sustainability Award.
Schneider Electric beat five other
vendors to receive the award, which
recognised its forward thinking IT
policy that is based on three pillars:
Solving the energy dilemma
An exemplary approach to
servicing stakeholders
Providing access to energy to those
who need it most.
APC by Schneider Electric has been
a global leader in the IT sector,
providing hardware, software and

services that ensure availability and

Initiatives such as the Trade-UPS

Meet your colleagues
In 2010, countries around the world
were abuzz about the potential of
smart grid technology and what
this meant for the future in creating
sustainable cities and Australia
was no exception. However, today
we have yet to see the full benefit
of a truly connected grid within
our communities.
The reasons behind this reality were
discussed by Schneider Electrics
Kevin Coulter at the French Australian
Chamber of Commerce (FACCI)
Business Forum, held at the MLC
Centre in Martin Place, Sydney on
Wednesday, September 16.

His presentation was well received
by the audience, and Kevin also
fielded questions during the Q&A
session, as did other members of the
panel and the panel convenor, Stuart

Sustainable Futures.
In addition to the event itself,
Schneider Electric was featured in a

Partner Program
changes to benefit
EcoXperts
Change in Partner Program leads to
more opportunities for EcoXperts
Clipsal and Schneider Electric have
expanded their global EcoXpert
program. The changes will deliver
more value for customers and give
end users greater assurance when it
comes to selecting the right expert
for their needs.
Launched in Australia in 2012, the
EcoXpert program is Schneider
Electrics marque of excellence,
identifying industry-leading
specialists who are at the top of their
field and are most capable of
delivering building owners and
managers efficient, innovative and
integrated solutions for new and
existing sites. This community of
excellence is recognised and
certified by Schneider Electric, global
specialists in energy management
and automation.
The expansion of the program brings
some of Clipsal and Schneider

Electrics other partners, including

C-Bus Platinum, PointOne and
Approved Installer Partners, Push
Certified Installers, Energy Solutions
Partners and Network Connectivity
Certified and Endorsed Partners,
into the EcoXpert sphere, giving
them access to a greater level of
training, networking opportunities
and recognition within their
customer base.
By bringing all of our trusted
partners together under the EcoXpert
banner, we can concentrate our
efforts on building this group and
providing them with outstanding
opportunities, Ashley Ralph, General
Manager Partner Programs said.
In expanding this community we are
encouraging members to reach out
to other experts for advice and
support they might need to complete
a project. This also exposes each
member to additional opportunities,
allowing them to widen their expertise
and branch out into other fields.
