This case was the subject of a`Major Case Review on 30:October 2p14. this_request is submitted per
the results of this reuiew.
'The offender, Lequan MCDONAl~D,assaulted the three victim Chicagt~ Police pff cers with a knife, and
was shat and killed by victim Police Officer Jason VAN DYKE. MCDaNALD's knife and Officer:VAN
DYKE's weapon were recovered anti iriventaried. it is requested that Officer VAN dYKE's weapon be
examined snd compared tv thefirearms evidence recovered from the scene, and #rom the gffender,
MCDONALD; both at M~runt'S nai Hospital and ~t the office of fhe Medical Examiner. tt is requested that
MCD4NALD's knife be examined far Patent #fingerprints, and if any are found, that they be compared to
the fingerprints of MCQQNALD.

Defective's Comments-

- This case was the subject of a Major Case Revier+v an 3d October 2014. This request is submitted per
the results of this review.
The offender, Lequan MCDONALD,assaulted the three victim Chicago Police Officers with a knife, and
was shot and killed by victim Police Officer Jason VAN DYKE. MCDONALD's knife and Officer VAN
DYKE's weapon were recavereci and inventoried: It is requester! that Officer VAN DYKE's weapon be
examined and com~sared #a the firearms evidence recovered from the scene,and from the offender,
MCDONALD, ba#h at -Mount Sinai Hospital and at the Ofice of the Iilfedical examiner. It is requested that
MCDUNAL:D's knife'be examined for latent fingerprints, end if arty are found,that they be compared to
the fingerprints of MCDC?NaLQ.
