INTRODUO GERAL DA DISCIPLINA


A aprendizagem de uma lngua estrangeira , em si mesma, uma experincia
de comunicao, abertura e interaco social, cultural e tecnolgica do aluno.
Deve permitir-lhe descobrir e valorizar os povos de diferentes comunidades,
alargando os seus horizontes culturais e sociais, enriquecendo a sua personalidade,
fomentando o so convvio e compreenso entre todos, levando-o a reflectir
criticamente sobre a sua prpria cultura, no sentido de a valorizar ainda mais.
A Lngua Inglesa possui uma situao proeminente dado ser a lngua mais
internacional, uma das lnguas oficiais da ONU e veculo de acesso investigao
e informao.
O ensino e aprendizagem desta lngua reveste-se de particular importncia em
Angola, devido posio geogrfica deste pas. Situado na frica Austral, tem
como vizinhos vrios pases de expresso inglesa. Por outro lado, Angola um
dos pases membros da Comunidade de Desenvolvimento dos Pases da frica
Austral (SADC), cuja lngua de trabalho o Ingls.
Por todos os factos apresentados, torna-se necessrio consciencializar os
jovens para a aprendizagem e descoberta desta importante via de comunicao
oral e escrita, assim como para a aprendizagem de um so convvio com povos
de outras lnguas e culturas.

Desenvolver as competncias bsicas de comunicao;
Desenvolver capacidades de compreenso de mensagens orais e escritas
veiculadas por vrios tipos de textos utilitrios;
Adquirir conhecimentos que permitam ao aluno dominar, oralmente e por
escrito, formas de compreenso, expresso e argumentao;
Aplicar os conhecimentos adquiridos em situaes de comunicao
autntica, no mbito dos contedos programticos;
Desenvolver uma viso mais ampla e pensamento crtico em relao
cultura, lngua estrangeira e sua lngua, na base da tolerncia e respeito
pela diferena;
Desenvolver capacidades de estudo autnomo.

AVALIAO
O(a) professor(a) utilizar testes diagnsticos, formativos, somativos, fichas de
trabalho, entre outros. Promover as quatro aptides ao longo de todo o processo
de ensino / aprendizagem, fomentando a auto e heteroavaliao.
Ter a conscincia permanente de que a avaliao corresponde a uma anlise
cuidada das aprendizagens conseguidas face s aprendizagens planeadas, o que se
vai traduzir numa descrio que informa professores e alunos sobre os objectivos
atingidos e aqueles onde se levantaram dificuldades.
A avaliao dever ser vista como um motor de aperfeioamento do sistema,
cujo principal objectivo perseguir o sucesso escolar, levando os envolvidos no
processo de ensino /aprendizagem a reflectir sobre o seu prprio trabalho, numa
perspectiva de inter-ajuda, incentivo e motivao permanentes.
