There are some things that we do not do well in the Baptist Church. Saying, Thank You is one of
those things. There are people who have made huge contributions to our church and our faith
through the years to whom we owe a huge debt of gratitude. Many of these faithful servants have
quietly and consistently dedicated their lives to the task of kingdom building.
This week we recognize one of those faithful servants Mrs. Helen Syx. Many things have changed
over the past 60 years, but through all of that change, Helen has faithfully served in our church
office. Sixty years of service to any organization is a major accomplishment; sixty years of service to
a church is unheard of.
Mrs. Helen, there are no words to express our appreciation for all that you have done and for all that
you do for our church and for our God. Your dedication and faithfulness is an example to each of us.
We recognize you for your sixty years of service to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and from the
bottom of our hearts we say, Thank you and we love you.
