Product Process Flow Chart

The production process of welded steel fabric goes through the process of cold rolled longitudinal and cross wire,
which passes through the mesh-welding machine, which is controlled electronically by resistance welder. The YTS
welded steel fabric is available in metric and imperial standard dimension with ribbed and plain wire.
In order to continue enhancing the satisfaction of our valued customer, we have implemented a Quality Management
System (QMS) according to the requirements of ISO9001-2000. We achieved our ISO9001 certification in the year
2005.
In fact the quality of our products meet the standards set by Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia
(SIRIM) Berhad. We also passed the license of SIRIM certification in the year 2005.
YTS is consistently improving and upgrading itself. We invest in more machinery to produce high quality products,
increasing our production outputs to meet our valued customers requirements, and provide with a competitive edge.

Technical

WELL CONTROLLED
YTS fabric is manufactured on automatic welding machines under controlled environment to achieve consistent quality. YTS fabric
is subjected to regular testing at our in-house laboratory to ensure quality products for users.
PREVENTING
*Causes - Distributing of load & effective crack
The smaller diameter and closely wires of welded wire fabric have the ability to provide a more uniform stress distribution and more
effective crack control in concrete slabs and walls than the large diameter steel bars which are usually widely spaced.
*Design
The wide range of wire diameter and spacing available also makes it possible to provide almost exactly the required cross-sectional
steel area.
*Adaptability
YTS fabric can easily be bent into almost any required form or shape. It has the right degree of ductility to allow it to be bent and
yet it is sufficiently rigid to maintain its form ater bending.

STANDARD
YTS welded wire fabric is manufactured to comply to the requirement of Malaysian Standard MS145:2001 - Steel
Fabric for the Reinforcement of Concrete. The cold reduced steel wires used in the manufacturing of YTS fabric
complies to the Malaysian Standard MS144:2001 - Cold Reduced Mild Steel wire for the reinforcement of Concrete,
which stipulates a minimum characteristic yield strength (0.2% proof stress) of 485 N/mm2. While the shear strength
of each weld is at least half of the yield strength (250 N/mm2) of the wires which ensures that the necessary
anchorage can be developed.
PURPOSES
YTS fabric as a reinforcing material for concrete is suitable for most of the reinforcement of concrete structures such
as concrete floor slabs, shear walls, retaining walls, footing, concrete roads and pavements, concrete drains, prcast
concrete components and also for anti-crack purposes.
ADVANTAGES
TIME AND LABOUR
YTS fabric can be produced normal cut-to-size same form in which time labour can be saved from sorting, cutting and
tying.
MATERIALS SAVED
Wastage will be saved with the use of cut-to-size YTS fabric. The usage of conventional steel bars usually results in a
wastage of 5% or more, depending on the level of supervision and control. Furthermore, with a characteristic yield
strength of 485 N/mm2 which is superior to that of normal steel bars, less steel will be used to achieve the same
strength. The specified characteristic yield strength of the various type of steel bars in comparision to hard drawn steel
wire which is used to manufacture our YTS fabric.

Sungai Petani Industrial Estate in Kedah.
YTS Welded Steel Fabric is widely used in the construction industry. Coupled with other hardware products from the
