General Instructions.
1.
All questions are compulsory.

The question paper consists of 30 questions divided into four section A, B C and D.
Section A comprises ten questions of 1 mark each, Section B comprises of five
questions of 2 marks each, Section C comprises of ten questions of 3 marks each and
Section D comprises of five questions of 6 marks each.

All question in section-A are to be answered in one sentence or as per the exact
requirement of the question.
There is no overall choice. However an internal choice has been provided in one

question of 2 marks, three question of 3 marks each and two question of 6 marks each.
You have attempt only one of the alternatives in all such questions.
SECTION A

If 17th term of an A.P exceeds the 10th term by 7. Find the common difference.

The students of a class are made to stand in rows. If three students are extra in a

An aeroplane left 30 minutes later than its scheduled time and in order to reach

from the usual speed. Determine its usual speed.

Speed of a boat in still water is 11km/hr. It can go 12 km upstream and return
downstream to the original points in 2 hours 45 minutes. Find the speed of the
stream.

The angles of depression of the top and bottom of an 8 meter tall building from
the top of a multi-storeyed building are 300 and 450 respectively. Find the
height of the multi-storeyed building and the distance between the two
buildings.
OR
An aeroplane when 3000 m high, passes vertically above another aeroplane at
an instant, when the angles of elevation of the two aeroplanes from the point, on
the ground are 600 and 450 respectively. Find the vertical distance between the
aeroplanes.
