migrated here.

This is important so we
can understand we
certain people or groups
move to a certain area
and why.

that recur on a regular

It shows that not all

is permanent may be

Counter - urbanization

urban to rural areas in
more developed
countries.

So we can understand
the reasons and factors
of why people decided

This is significant
because everyday
people emigrate for a
multitude of reasons
such as jobs or families.

This is important

Workers who migrate to


more developed
countries of Northern
and Western Europe,
usually from Southern
and Eastern Europe or
North Africa for higher
paying jobs.

Guest workers provide


an alternate source of
people to do low class
jobs that others do not
want to do while
increasing economy.

Migration to a new
location.

This is important so we
are able to understand
the reasoning behind
why people move and
what affect it has on the
location.

Permanent movement

This is important so we

on number of people
who can immigrate to a
country each year.

This limits the amount


of immigrants keeping
balance in economy and
other factors between
countries.

Refugees

People who are forced


to migrate from their
home country and
cannot return for fear
of persecution because
of their race, religion,
nationality,
membership in social
group, or political
opinion.

Refugees are important


terms because they
show us current events
in the world and what
needs to be watched
out for. It shows us why
refugees chose to leave
their countries and why
the chose their new
ones.

Immigrants

People who enter a


country without proper
documents.

This is an important
term especially in the
U.S. because there are
so many illegal
immigrants that affect
our economy, jobs,
education,etc. .

This is important
because governments
give the citizens options
on whether they decide
