Blacksmith
This style can truly be considered the classic
American work shoe. In the early 1900s, when
Red Wing Shoe Company first began to service
rural America, this style of shoe became vastly
popular across the country. Versatile and reliable, it
was used in farm fields and blacksmith workshops
during the day before being cleaned and shined up
for a night out on the town. It was the all-purpose
shoe for many years in many industries. Today,
the Blacksmith is built using premium Red Wing
leathers and a durable Nitrile Cork sole. The extra
height of this six-inch style keeps out snow in the
winter and dirt in the summer, while the classic
construction keeps feet comfortable even after long
hours of work.

northern workers with an insulated boot built on

In Americas 19th century, the bold and hardworking
men who labored on oil rigs had one of the most
dangerous occupations around. In order to do their
jobs in these hazardous conditions the men needed
to be tough and have a taste for challenging work.
These traits were how oil rig workers received
the nickname, Roughnecks. Inspired by these
hardworking roughnecks, Red Wings Round Lug
styles were built not only to look tough, but act
tough. Their distinctively rugged appearance is
enhanced by our classic Roughneck leather.

The local residents of the Mesabi Iron Range in
northern Minnesota are proudly known as Iron
Rangers due to their rugged toughness. The Iron
Ranger work boots were built for iron miners in
this region who required a double layer of leather
over the toe for extra safety. Its tough and elegant
all at once.

Beckman Collection
The Beckman Collection is named after Charles
Beckman, the companys founder. Mr. Beckman
owned a shoe store in Red Wing. In his advertising
he promoted himself as Beckman, The Shoe Man.
As a prosperous Main Street merchant, he saw
first-hand the need for durable and comfortable
boots. In 1905 when he couldnt find boots to
meet his needs, he started his own shoe company.
Navigating the muddy streets of Red Wing was
part of his daily routine. He needed sturdy boots
that could be polished to match his status as
a successful Main Street merchant.

Chukka
Our chukka boots combine a simple boot upper with
Red Wings Atlas Tred sole. Unlike other Red Wing
work boots, the work chukka was designed for lighter
duty and finish carpenters were the primary users.
While their boots needed to be sturdy, they needed
them to also be light and flexible to accommodate
the bending, climbing and kneeling the work day
required.

In the 1950s policemen still walked their beats and
the postman walked his mail route. They needed
comfortable and sturdy footwear for the hours spent
on their feet. In 1954, Red Wing responded with
style #101, a sturdy black oxford with a moldable
insole. It could be polished to meet their uniform
requirements, but tough enough for everything their
day encountered. The 101 would go on to be part
of the Red Wing brand for 46 years and sell over 2
million pairs. It became one of the bestselling styles
in company history.

Roughout Leather
S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned

leather which is used to build a variety of timeless
Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and
perspiration resistant, and has a more natural
look and feel because less finishing materials
have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to
shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally
durable and has been used to build countless work
boots throughout Red Wings 108+ year history.
Smooth-finished leathers have a polished surface

that enhances the true beauty and quality of the
leather. Only the most premium, top-quality hides
are used to craft smooth-finished leathers. The
result is a beautiful, classic-looking leather used
to build more elegant styles, such as the Red Wing
Heritage Beckman Collection. The polished look and
feel of the smooth-finished leather requires more
specialized care and attention to keep it maintained.
Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede

technique at our very own S.B. Foot Tanning Co.
While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the
hide to create the rough suede surface, we simply
use the other side of the hide. By doing so, we avoid
splitting or thinning our full-grain hides. This makes
our Roughout leather just as strong and durable as
our other leathers.

MERCHANDISE RETURN POLICY

Defective Merchandise:
Red Wing Brands of America, Inc. accepts
returns of defective merchandise. There is
no prior authorization required. A return
merchandise memo must accompany
defective merchandise returns. The
return merchandise must be shipped
prepaid and via the most economical
means. Transportation credit will be
issued on defective merchandise and
prompt credit will be issued on returned
defective merchandise.
Shipping Errors: Red Wing Brands
of America, Inc. accepts returns on
merchandise that is sent in error. This
product must be returned within 30
days of delivery. A return merchandise
memo must accompany the return along
with a copy of the invoice or packing slip
indicating the returned shoe(s). Shoes
returned without a packing slip will be
returned to the dealer. The returned
merchandise must be shipped prepaid
and via the most economical means.
Transportation credit will be issued on
returned shipping errors and prompt
credit will be issued.
Special Orders: Special order
merchandise may be returned within 30
days of delivery. A return merchandise
memo must accompany the return along
with a copy of the invoice or packing slip
indicating the returned special order
shoe(s). Shoes returned without a copy
of the invoice or packing slip will be
returned to the dealer. A $10 per pair
re-stocking fee will be charged on all special
orders returned after 30 days.
All Other Returns: No other merchandise
returns will be accepted without prior
authorization from your Red Wing sales
representative. After authorization is
granted, a return merchandise memo
must accompany your return along
with the original packing slip and the
return authorization number from your

Red Wing sales representative. Shoes
returned without the return authorization
number and the original packing slip
will be returned to the dealer. A $10 per
pair re-stocking fee will be charged on all
authorized returns.

LIMITED WARRANTY RELATING

TO RED WING BRANDED
FOOTWEAR
Red Wing branded footwear products
are warranted against defects in
workmanship and materials. If within 6
months of purchase, a defect occurs in a
Red Wing branded footwear product as
the result of normal use, Red Wing Shoe
Company, Inc. (Red Wing) will repair
the defect or exchange the product.
If a product defect occurs as the result of
normal use within 6 to 12 months after
purchase, Red Wing will repair the defect
or issue a credit for 50% of the purchase
price. If a product defect occurs as the
result of normal use 12 months or more
after purchase, Red Wing may, at its
option, issue a fair and reasonable credit
that can be applied to the purchase of
Red Wing branded footwear. The amount
of the credit will be determined in the
dealers sole judgment. Product failures
caused by excessive or abusive wear
conditions do not qualify for exchange
or purchase credit. This warranty is
available only to the original purchaser
and is not transferable. No adjustment
will be given without the original receipt
of purchase. You must return your
footwear to the Red Wing Shoe dealer
from which the footwear was purchased.
Disclaimer: The limited warranty

relating to Red Wing branded footwear is
in lieu of any other express warranty.
No agent, employee or representative
of Red Wing has any authority to bind
Red Wing to any affirmation,
representation or warranty concerning
Red Wing branded footwear products,
except as stated herein. Red Wing shall
not be liable for any consequential or
incidental damages.
This limited product warranty gives you
specific legal rights, and you may also
have other rights that vary from state
to state. Any implied warranties shall
be effective for a period not exceeding
12 months from the date of purchase.
Some states do not allow manufacturers
to impose time limitations on certain
implied warranties, so the above
limitation may not apply to you.
DISTRIBUTION POLICY
It is the policy of Red Wing Shoe
Company, Inc. to sell its Red Wing
Heritage products directly to selected
retailers for resale only at or from the
retailers retail and/or online outlets
approved in writing by Red Wing Shoe
Company, and only to the retailers end
user customers.
Red Wing Heritage retailers are not
authorized to sell to or ship to any end
users outside of the United States or
Canada. This policy further prohibits
resale or shipment of Red Wing Heritage
products by a retailer to any other
business location inside or outside of the
United States.
Violation of this distribution policy may
result in the immediate termination of
a retailers right to sell any Red Wing
branded products.
