Here at Notre Dame, we believe in equality in our houses. In order to move toward equality,
Notre Dame randomly assigns students to houses. This way, we can ensure that all of our
dorms are diverse, and no dorm stereotypes exist.

Narrator:
Building a community the Notre Dame way is about creating global citizens, educating the
hearts, minds, and spirits of our community members. My hope is each student will quickly
realize that one of the most distinctive aspects of Notre Dame is our sense of community. This
quality really sets us apart from other wonderful academic institutions. Part of the reason Notre
Dame has such a strong community is because each freshman is randomly assigned to a dorm
that they can stay in all four years. Because we have no fraternities or sororities and completely
random housing, there are no dorm stereotypes.

To prove the welcoming community on campus, we went to the streets to interview actual Notre
Dame students.
interviews of current students on dorm stereotypes (1:20-2:00) (zahm, ryan, alumni, bp)
and/or showing clips (like Zahm)
Zahm:
Interviewer: Whats the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Zahm?
Girl: "Well at a party last week I was in Zahms bathroom and I looked up and there was a
camera pointed right at me. Like, RIGHT AT ME! Like, what the fuck, Zahm?!"

Guy: Fuck you Zahm.

Person A: "I heard a couple of Zahm guys got caught roofying a whole bunch of girls last week
because that's a big surprise."
Zahm Guy (person As friend): Yeah, that happened, but Zahm is by far the closest-knit
community on campus, everyone else is just jealous.
Person A: "yeah only because they cover each other while they put stuff in girls' drinks."

Ryan:
Interviewer: What do you think of Ryan girls?
(Sunday, Cal) Person 1: You mean Hotel Ryan?
*Walks through Ryan*
(Sunday, Cal) Girl from Ryan: I have to walk all the way down the hallway to use the
COMMUNITY bathroom. Plus the toilet seats arent even heated.
Girl from Ryan: *walks into Ryan room. Is this the closet?
Girl from Ryan: No no no, this just isnt going to work. Do you know who my father is? Lets
knock down this wall, add a bathroom and a walk in closet, and well go from there.
Contractor: "um... see that wall. A girl lives behind there.
Girl from Ryan: "do I look like a peasant? Daddy will buy her room for me."
Girl from Ryan: Wait so wheres my maid supposed to sleep?

Alumni:
Interviewer:
Prospy: I thought that there werent any frats on campus?
Prospys chaperone: They arent, they just want to be
show alumni letters, frat party, etc. feve footage
NDSP: "well just last night I arrested four Alumni guys for possession of 56 tabs of LSD, 70
grams of mushrooms, 50 grams of opium, 25 grams of marijuana, .75 grams of cocaine and .85
grams of DMT. I wasnt even mad, just impressed"
Upperclassmen from Alumni: "That was just for Tuesday night

BP:
Interviewer: How would you describe girls from BP?
Person 1:
I heard the BP girls stole the old froyo machine from the dining hall. (whispers)
its in their basement.
Person 2: Thier mascot is the Babes, not like a really hot girl but like the pig. Its very fitting if
you ask me.

Person 3: They only let 1 person in the elevator at a time. (hesitants) You know cause of the
weight capacity.
Closing:
At Notre Dame, we believe that our dorm systems help make our community better. As you can
see, our random dorm housing helps our students grow individually, spiritually, philosophically,
mentally, physically, emotionally, educationally, metaphysically, and otherwise. Thus, we hope
that your time in the randomized Notre Dame dorms will enhance your understanding of various
cultures. Remember, we dont judge at Notre Dame. *drops mic*

hes probably going to rape her
