ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project entitled, Cisco Pocket Study Guide: A Journey
to CCNA, is to guide students with Cisco Networking Academy subjects, and
other computer networking enthusiasts in terms of enhancing their knowledge
and skills through the use of Android devices. Cisco is definitely a broad concept
in terms of learning the field of computer networking since it consisted of various
networking principles and protocols. Thus, this project is an offline mobile
application consisting of five (5) modules that will surely be beneficial to its users.
These modules consist of the Dictionary, which consists of commonly used Cisco
networking terms and definitions; the Acronyms, which consists of different
acronyms used throughout the coverage of CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking
Associate); the Configurations, which consists of commonly used configuration
codes and their appropriate functions that can be applied in configuring actual
Cisco devices; the Reviewer, which consists of question-and-answer style to
further develop the knowledge of the users regarding Cisco, and the Quiz, which
will test and assess how much information that the users had gained. This
project has also extra-features; the Cisco Packet Tracer Mobile application link,
which will let users to try the given configuration samples in the application; and
the YouTube application link, which will give users the option to watch further
tutorials about Cisco configurations. Since the existence of Android devices
become prevalent, many users also were engaged with this things, resulting on
easier sharing of knowledge.
