References/Reading List:

1) Mewaldt RA, Cosmic Rays [online], 1996,

http://www.srl.caltech.edu/personnel/dick/cos_encyc.html
[19/11/2015]
A good article written for the California Institute of Technology
website, that broadly covers a lot about cosmic rays. Predominantly
used as back ground reading for the composition of cosmic rays, the
suns contribution to primary cosmic rays and the effect of cosmic
rays on astronauts.
2) Cosmic Rays Particles from Outer Space [online],
http://home.cern/about/physics/cosmic-rays-particles-outer-space
[accessed 18/11/2015]
There is some overlap with the previous article but this article is
newer and has an ascetically pleasing layout. This reference has
been used as back ground reading for the energy spectrum of
cosmic rays and the acceleration of high energy particles.
3) M. J. G. Veltman, Facts and Mysteries in Elementary Particle
Physics, (World Scientific Publishing, Singapore, 2003).
This book has relevant information on the discovery and history of cosmic rays. I
recommend using online resources (google) if this book is not available.
4) IceCube MasterClass: Measuring Cosmic Rays [online],
https://icecube.wisc.edu/masterclass/measuring_cr [accessed
19/11/2015]
This is an excellent article by University of Wisconsin-Madison about
the detection of cosmic rays using Cherenkov radiation definitely
worth a read. The article was used as background reading for the
detection of cosmic rays.

This is a link to an article on how to make your own cloud chamber.
