mylife.

Despiteseeingpeaceasanendpoint,Ialsosawitassomething
passiveafterall,thatswhyIwassostressed:Ihadsomuchto
do.
Ivesincerealizedthatpeaceisalwaysavailable,andlikeany
desirablestateofmind,itrequireseffort,evenifthateffort
entailsconsciouslychoosingtobestill.
Sure,ourcircumstancesaffectourmentalstate,buttheydont
havetocontrolthem,notifwemaketinychoicesforourwell
being.
Admittedly,itsnoteasytochoosepeacewhenweregoing
throughtoughtimes.IstillgothroughperiodswhenIgetcaught
upinworriesandstresses,anditcanfeellikethatstheonly
availableresponsetothingsthathavehappened.
Butitsnot.Therearecountlessthingswecandotocreate
peaceofmindbothinresponsetoeventsinourlives,and
proactively,everyday.
Ifyoudalsoliketodevelopagreatersenseofpeace,you

Meditation
1.Take510minutesforasimpleseatedmeditation.
2.Take100deepbreaths,countingandone,andtwo,and
soon,withandontheinhalationsandthenumbersonthe
exhalations.
