Candidate: Hi, My name Farooq Anwar, I am 25years old and I was born in Lahore in
1990, I have 5 sisters and one brother and we basically belong to okara but although we
live in Lahore from last 30 years. We live in our own house, located in Samanabad
Lahore. My brother has his own business. So, our home kitchen is based on me and my
brother earnings.

Right Way:

Interviewer: My name Atif ; I am working for this company from last three years as Senior
HR Manager. Please tell me something about you?
Candidate: Well, Recently, I have passed my Masters in Human Resource Management in
year 2015 with 3.6CGPA Grade A from National College of Business Administration &
Economics. As far as concern for my profession, currently I am working as HR
Professional for one of the USA Based organization named Universal Business
Solution North America from last two years. And I have been continuously leading one
of the finest team of fresh grads from last one year. Also I have just been chosen to

organize our official trip which includes of twenty employees and we went to Kashmir for
three days and nights.

Situation 2
Interviewer: Why are you interested in this job?

Wrong Way:
Candidate: I am interested because in this job I can get handsome pay as well as I need
to put food on the table and expand my own social networking with other employees
that would make a lively environment.

Right Way:
Candidate: Well, BPSNA reputation is certainly good. I would be proud to work for a
company with such a long history of support provider leadership in the industry. Also, a
good friend of the family has been working in corporate finance in BPSNA for the last two
years and he told me that the culture supports learning and development on the job
and really rewards hard work. I feel that my proven track record leading multi-functional
teams makes me an excellent match for the job requirements. Also, the role excites me
because I love the idea of helping to develop humans and I know I could start delivering
results from Day 1st.

Situation 3
Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in next five years?

Wrong Way:
Candidate: I will be working in your company at a senior position and will manage a big
team.

Right Way:
Candidate: I dont have a specific plan! I would like to be advanced. However, I am
flexible. I will do my current job to the best of my ability and keep my eyes open for
opportunities within the organization to advance even if it means changing roles. I am
prepared to learn new things and contribute to the overall success of the organization in
a number of ways. The only specific within that plan of willingness is that the
opportunity be within my ability to learn, interesting enough for me to dig in and do a
good job, and the compensation increase a reasonable amount in relation to the
demands of the position.

Situation 4
Interviewer: What is your biggest weakness?

Wrong Way:
Candidate: Eating spicy food/fear of height.

Right Way:
Candidate: I tend to get very passionate about the work I do, I get scared if I dont
complete work on given time as required.

Situation 5
Interviewer: Describe a problem in your profession you have encountered and how you
solved it?
Wrong Way:
I was walking on road side and suddenly I saw a man on bike was hit by a car. He was
injured and bleeding very rapidly. Then I have took second skill step and took him to a
nearby hospital.
Right Way:
Few months ago, I had setup an online meeting with our old client and hundreds of dollar
profit based on that meeting concern. Unluckily we have lost our office main line internet
because the main line of the city internet was damaged. So I have took second skill step
to turn on my 3G on mobile and shared my official computer with hotspot and attended
the meeting.

Situation 6
Interviewer: What is your FORTE`?

Wrong Way:
Well, I do believe in multitasking in a true sense of a word. Human brain is not capable to
focus on one thing at a time only.

Right Way:

I am an enthusiastic Team Player with numerous contacts and natural ability to

promote humans and build rapport through listening and communication skills.

Situation 7
Interviewer: What are the first three things you would do if you got this position?

Wrong Way:
1. The first thing I will do that I will hold my silence to observe everything in the
organization
2. I will try to get involve in gossips with other employees to make a positive
impression on them
3. I will always take sides of what is right should be done in this organization.

Right Way:
1. The first thing I would do that would be to get around to meet the team and other
major decisive persons in order to understand the whole organization system.
2. I will also want to understand the company strategy as it applies in my job area.
3. I would seek to deliver significant results within the first three months along with a
plan for a steady continuation into the future and I will learn more about the key issues facing
in the organization.
