A collection of
well-coordinated products
Composite resins for virtually every direct restorative indication. Adhesives that are
easy to apply and offer excellent bond strength. This is what sets the nano-optimized
products of the Tetric N-Collection apart.
The materials have been shown to demonstrate good clinical performance in the
restoration of teeth since 2007. Irrespective of whether anterior or posterior
restorative procedures are performed, the well-coordinated Tetric N-Collection
range offers a suitable material for any cavity size.
Users will not only benefit from products that have been tried and tested in years of
clinical use. They have the latest technology at their fingertips and thus more room to
manoeuvre in their daily restorative work.

Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill

4 MM TO SUCCESS
In the past, several 2-mm increments had to be applied
until the cavity was filled, which was rather time-
consuming. The new Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill posterior
composite now offers fast bulk fills of up to 4 mm.
Its smooth consistency makes the material particularly
easy to shape and sculpt.

A sophisticated concept
Due to the patented light initiator Ivocerin, even large
4-mm increments can be cured in only 10 seconds (at
1,000 mW/cm2). Ivocerin is a polymerization booster
incorporated into the standard photoinitator system of Tetric N-Ceram Bulk
Fill. It offers greater reactivity to
curing lights as compared to
camphorquinone and acyl phospine
oxide (e.g. Lucirin TPO).

Conventional 2-mm layering

Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill

Despite the short exposure times, Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill

allows for a working time of up to 200 seconds. The integrated light sensitivity filter is responsible for this feature.
It permits shaping and contouring of posterior restorations entirely without time pressure.
Special shrinkage stress relievers reduce the shrinkage
stress that occurs during polymerization. They dampen
the forces exerted during shrinkage like a spring.

Tetric N-Ceram

THE EASY ROUTE TO ESTHETIC RESULTS

Tetric N-Ceram is the light-cured composite for direct
restorative procedures in the anterior and posterior
region. Due to the nano-optimized technology employed,
Tetric N-Ceram demonstrates excellent non-slumping
properties. They make the material convenient to shape
and sculpt. The integrated light sensitivity filter ensures
sufficiently long working time despite the short poly
merization time of only 10 seconds (1,000 mW/cm2).
Another benefit of Tetric N-Ceram: The material does
not stick to the instrument.

Natural shade match

The nano-colour pigments are responsible for the
material's optimum blend with the natural dentition.
They are finely distributed within the composite and
contribute to adjusting the shade of the restoration to
that of the surrounding tooth structure. As a result,
restorations are achieved that meet esthetically
demanding requirements.

Excellent radiopacity
The good radiopacity of a restorative material is the
prerequisite for an accurate diagnosis of secondary caries.
The incorporation of an ytterbium fluoride filler imparts
Tetric N-Ceram with a high radiopacity of >400% Al.
This helps to distinguish the restorative material from
natural tooth structure and makes long-term clinical
success more predictable.

Tetric N-Flow

THE ALL-ROUNDER FLOWABLE

Flowable composites are products without which modern
restorative dentistry would be unthinkable. They come in
handy whenever surface affinity is desired. This is where
Tetric N-Flow comes into play.
Tetric N-Flow features optimized viscosity with excellent
flow properties and is thus particularly suitable for use as
a lining material. Moreover, it can be used in Class V
restorations because of its stable consistency that
prevents slumping. The Viscosity Controller is responsible
for this characteristic. At the same time, it regulates the
composites viscosity during extrusion.

Liner in combination with regular-viscosity composites

such as Tetric N-Ceram/Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill in Class I
to V restorations

Extended fissure sealing

Small fillings of all kinds (Class III and V)

Tetric N-Flow can be ideally combined with other lightcured composite restoratives, e.g. Tetric N-Ceram and
Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill. The material's outstanding
wetting behaviour allows it to be conveniently applied
in virtually all areas of the cavity.

Tetric N-Bond Universal

THE TOLERANT UNIVERSAL ADHESIVE

3 etching techniques 1 application protocol

One adhesive for every etching technique

Tetric N-Bond Universal is a single-component, light-curing universal adhesive for direct and indirect bonding procedures. Its mildly acidic properties make it suitable for all etching techniques: self-etch, selective-enamel-etch and
total-etch.

Self-etch technique
time-saving
reduces the risk of postoperative sensitivities

Apply one layer of Tetric N-Bond Universal on the

tooth surface and agitate for min. 20 s.

Selective-enamel-etch technique
enhances adhesion to enamel
improves the marginal seal

Apply phosphoric acid only on the enamel surface

and leave to react for 15 to 30 s. Subsequently,
apply Tetric N-Bond Universal on enamel and
dentin and agitate for 20 s.

Total-etch (etch & rinse) technique

maximizes adhesion to both enamel and dentin
improves the marginal seal

Etch both enamel (15 30 s) and dentin (10 15

s) with phosphoric acid. Then apply Tetric N-Bond
Universal on the enamel and dentin surfaces and
agitate for 20 s.
R&D, Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, 2013

Suitable for direct and indirect bonding procedures

Due to its special composition, the adhesive Tetric N-Bond Universal is also suitable for indirect restorations, applied
as adhesive in combination with a luting composite. The application protocol is identical for both direct and indirect
indications.
Low film thickness (approx. 10 m) that will not impede the accuracy of fit of indirect restorations
Mild etching effect and therefore compatible with various cementation materials (light- and dual-curing)
No activator is required for dual-curing luting composites
