1.Absolute Pressure

Absolute pressure is a single pressure measurement with a reference to a full, or

perfect vacuum. Absolute pressure is the
measurement of the process pressure in excess of full vacuum or 0 psia.

Gauge Pressure
Gauge pressure is a single pressure measurement that indicates the pressure above
atmosphere. Gauge pressure
represents the positive difference between measured pressure and existing
atmospheric pressure

2. When pressure is applied to the diaphragm membrane it is hydraulically

transmitted to the instruments sensing element by the displaced fill fluid. This
allows the instrument to measure the process pressure without making direct
contact with the process

Silicone oil

This fluid has a broad temperature range to cover ambient and

process conditions and has a low viscosity for good time response. Silicone fluids
have a unique
combination of properties that give superior performance in a wide variety of
applications.
Silicones provide excellent thermal stability and low vapor pressure.

Inert fluid

Inert fill fluids are essentially non-reactive to a wide range of chemicals, including
halogens, oxygen, and other specialty gas applications.Other applications to
consider using Inert Fluid include those where silicone fluids are banned due to
product contamination concerns (i.e. paint manufacturing). Inert fluid has a higher
vapor pressure than standard Silicone 200 and restricts applications, especially in
vacuum service.Inert fluid should not be used for food grade applications.

White oil
a colourless petroleum distillate, especially liquid paraffin, used medicinally and in
the food and plastic industries

Raised Face (RF)

The Raised Face flange is the most common type used in process plant applications,
and is easily to identify. It is referred to as a raised face because the gasket surfaces
are raised above the bolting circle face. This face type allows the use of a wide
combination of gasket designs, including flat ring sheet types and metallic
composites such as spiral wound and double jacketed types.
The purpose of a RF flange is to concentrate more pressure on a smaller gasket area
and thereby increase the pressure containment capability of the joint

4.316 L SST

The 316 L SST is the standard material for the wetted parts of ABB 2600T family of
transmitters, it has a good resistance to corrosion, including low concentrations of
nitric acid and most salt solutions with
some exception like nonoxidizing acids such as Hydrochloric, Hydrofluoric, Sulfuric
and Phosphoric.
The resistance of 316 L SST to alkaline solutions, organic acids, and other organic
compounds may
depend on temperature.

Hastelloy

In Hastelloy C (54Ni-16Mo-16Cr), chromium and molybdenum are added to nickel to

improve the alloys resistance to oxidizing conditions. Hastelloy C is well suited to
provide protection against alkalies,
organic acids, and other organic compounds.

Tantalum
Tantalum has proved to be a useful material in corrosive applications where 316 L
SST does not perform satisfactorily.Tantalum has also a good resistance to most
acids, chemical solutions, and organic compounds
