CAUSES TAUGHT:
Legal frame works regulating Health and Safety at the work place
Manage, Coordinate and participate in preventive measures for pipeline corrosion, conduct failure analysis
to determine the remaining useful life and risk ranking of oil and gas pipelines.
Orient newly employed staffs on the compliance of Health Safety and Environment policies in the refinery.
Organize and Coordinate with respective workforce to ensure compliance of daily schedule for stationary
equipment released by planning in time and with quality.
Knowledge in lifting and rigging operations, confined space entry and working
at height and capable of interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams
Participate in workplace activities to raise the quality of HSE input, including JSAs, incident investigation
and risk management
Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) plans for assigned
facilities and ensure the compliance of safe refinery operating procedures.
Provide HSE and technical support for the performance and best practices to support commissioning
operations and ensure appropriate risk assessment is conducted.
Liaise with operational staffs to ensure effective use of best practice and consistency in approach to
HSE activities.
Participate in and facilitate HSE audits, reviews and assessments employing HSE Risk
Support the implementation and achievement of campaign and project HSE objectives and
performance measures
Lead initiatives to promote visible and pro-active management commitment and employee involvement
in HSE activities
Review and support existing HSE training plans and specific operations/campaign/project training
needs
Support collecting, storing, analyzing, tracking and reporting HSE performance data (eg. Incident
report findings, Audit actions,)
Provide input and review with Site personnel weekly-monthly HSE reports
Plan and participate in HSE audits of Contractors Network with peers to utilize Best Practices and
Lessons Learned
Conduct Risk Survey and Risk Assessment in all departments of the refinery
Lead a team of Engineers and Technicians to discuss Positive Attitude Safety System, Toolbox meetings and
Observed safety and firefighting regulations in the refinery and uses the permit to work system of the
refinery
Participated in condition monitoring checks on machinery, and notify any malfunctions or defects to the
immediate supervisor.
Carried out routine prevent maintenance of machinery according to schedules, checklist specific
requirements like, changing oil, greasing, cleaning strainers and filters and general overhaul of equipment.
Carried out visual checks on seals for leaks, disassembling equipments and replacing parts, such as
mechanical seals, bearings, impeller, wearing ring.
Operate, repair and perform functional testing of tackle and lifting equipment, to the recognized standards.
