4d-1. Do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tools or these instructions to
operate power tools.
4e-1. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tool's operation.
4e-2. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
4f-1. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind
and are easier to control
4g-1. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these
instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
5a-1. A guard protects operator from broken wheel fragments.
5b-1. Wheels and other accessories running over rated speed can fly apart and cause
injury.
5b-2. Make sure all wheel flanges, and mounting hardware are in good condition
and are used properly.
5c-1. Hold tools by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where
the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
5d-1. Keep hands away from all cutting edges and moving parts.
6a-1. To start the tool, squeeze the paddle trigger.
6a-2. To stop the tool, release the paddle trigger.
6b-1. Correct size as written on tool's nameplate.
6b-2. Correct wheel type and grit for the job.
6b-3. Rated at or above the RPM listed in the "WARNING" section on the tool's name
plate.
6d-1. Correct size for tool and for sanding disc or grinding wheel.
6d-2. Rated at or above the RPM listed in the "WARNING" section on the tool's
nameplate.
7a-1. Always inspect it for cracks.
7a-2. If wheel is cracked, discard it to prevent others from using it.
8a-1. Wetness and extreme humidity.
8a-2. Any type of solvent.
8a-3. Extreme changes in temperature.
8a-4. Dropping and bumping.
NOTE: If any wheel is dropped, rolled, bumped, subjected to extreme changes in
temperature, or has come into contact with solvents or wetness, discard wheel
immediately.
8b-1. In an organized way so wheels can be removed without disturbing or damaging
other wheels.
8b-2. With their safety information.
9a-1. To install the guard, unplug the tool and place it upside down on a level surface.
9a-2. Remove any accessories from the spindle.
9a-3. Line up the four tabs with the four slots and then press the guard down on to the
tool.
9a-4. Press in the lock lever and rotate the guard to one of the five detent slots. The
lock lever must engage with one of the detents.
9a-5. To remove the guard, unplug tool and place it upside down on a level surface.
Remove any accessories from spindle.
9a-6. Press in the lock lever and rotate the guard to line up the four tabs with the
four slots as shown in.
9a-7. Lift the guard straight up and away from the tool.
9a-8. To adjust the guard, press in the lock lever and rotate the guard to one of the five
detents.
