Field Executive for Operational Support during FCC Major Turnaround

1. POSITION: Field Executive for Operational support during FCC major turnaround/shutdown

2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & REVELANT EXPERIENCE:

Diploma in chemical/petrochemical engineering or Science Graduate in Chemistry

Working experience of 3+ years in chemical/petrochemical/refinery plant (Laboratory experience
not to be considered).
Person having experience in Refinery/Petrochemical/chemical plant will be preferred.
Proficiency in computer / IT applications (i.e. MS Office, e-mail, IT applications like SAP permit
system etc.).
Should be able to Read/Write/Speak in Hindi and English language.

3. SAFETY & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Should have knowledge of MSDS of chemical/hydrocarbon and should be able to understand

physical and chemical properties of hydrocarbon.
Should have knowledge of Flash point, fire point, Auto ignition temperature, LEL, UEL, toxicity etc.
Should be convergent with work permit procedure and different types of permit
Should able to learn and use fire safety equipments (i.e. Fire extinguisher, Fire Hydrant/Monitor,
safety shower) and use of Air Line Breathing Apparatus in oxygen deficient or toxic environment.
Should be able to understand and follow Emergency Response Plan to handle plant
emergencies.
Should be able to understand and implement different safety procedures (i.e. Hot work, cold
work, confined space, line break, excavation, scaffolding, LOTO etc.)
Should be able to understand and follow SOP and Risk Assessment for equipment/ lines handover
& take over to handle jobs safely.
Should be able to understand and follow RIL SAP based work permit.
Should be able to perform Gas Test (LEL, H2S, O2) and convergent with usage of Online Breathing
apparatus in field.
Should learn and ensure Compliance to RIL LPR-ZT, Operating Discipline, PSM and other safety
procedures.
Should be able to ascertain basic risk involved in the job and able to prepare and explain Risk
Assessment (RA) to contractors.
Should be able to understand process P & IDs, PFDs and equipment drawings.
Should be familiar with operation and maintenance of pumps, compressor, heat exchangers, fin
fan cooler, distillation column, reactors etc. in continuous process plant.
Should be able to prepare/write daily report, log book and maintain records.

4. JOBS TO BE PERFORMED BY SHUTDOWN FIELD EXECUTIVE:

Hydrocarbon equipments (i.e. pump, compressor, heat exchanger) and lines isolation,
depressurization, draining in coordination with SFE.
Equipment/lines decontamination, hydrocarbon freeing, steam out, nitrogen purging to make it
ready for maintenance handover.
Leak test and inertisation/air freeing of equipment and lines for commissioning.
Monitoring of blinding/de-blinding and all line break jobs on equipment and line.
Charging of hydrocarbon, steam and other utilities in equipments and lines.
Giving safety toolbox talk and explain Risk Assessment and safety procedure to contractors.
Perform Gas Test (LEL, H2S, O2) and giving clearance to contractor for job.
Start-up and shutdown of pump and compressor and line-up of other static equipments.
Explain Risk Assessment to contractor and ensure compliance in field.
Filling of checklists for handover/takeover of equipment/line and ensure compliance in field.
Lock-out and Tag-out of electrical equipments and for isolation of equipment and lines.
Sampling of hydrocarbon and utilities.
Handling of Hose connection and disconnection during equipment/line handover and take over.
Handling housekeeping manpower and carry out housekeeping in field.
Catalyst and coke removal from Reactor-Regenerator and Main column
Handling of column and vessel internal cleaning (Confined space jobs) and waste disposal.
Handling of Line flushing and Rotomol cleaning of lines.
Filling of permit checklist and issue the permit for job execution after ensuring compliance as per
safety procedures.
Monitor and ensure safe execution of all maintenance jobs and follow-up for completion of jobs
in all aspects including housekeeping within defined scheduled time.
Perform start-up and shutdown activities as guided by SFE/SS.
Monitoring and ensuring healthiness of equipments in field.
